Zanussi ZWF12070 reviews: Front Loading loading, 6kg capacity washing machine

+ Washes the clothes well, pretty quiet compared to my last one, very easy to use!

- Doesnt indicate whereabouts in the cycle it is so you dont know how far through the cycle it is

+ there is no timer to tell you how much longer the wash will take to finish.

- electric cable was not long enuth to reach my piont which was just in front of the machine .
the machine cable is made to plug in at the back.

+ My new Zanussi is very easy to use and gets the washing very clean. Being able to do the washing at 30 degrees is fantastic and makes me feel like I'm doing my bit for the environment.

- Just a couple of minor 'niggles' - the wash cycles are a little bit slow and it's not as quiet as I thought it would be.

+ Simple philosophy for operating, not thousands of subtly-diffeent programmes. Very quiet.

- Delecate and wool wash need manual intervention to move from wash cycle to drain/spin. (This wasn't the case in the predecessor Zanussi models.)

- The drum size is a bit on the small size, but I was always used to large drum, now i dont really need large drum and probably stuffed too much in before. Overall, no bad points.

+ Lovely machine - quiet and economical and seems to hold loads of washing. I love the 30 minute 30 cycle for not-very-dirty clothes.

- The next most useful cycle is the eco-40 degree wash, but it takes AGES - nearly 2.5 hours. But overall I really like this machine.

+ I initially considered buying a more expensive machine with a faster spin but read some advice suggesting that faster machines did not get clothes much dryer and the added speed may wear out the machine more quickly. I went for this cheaper machine and have found the spin speed to be perfectly adequate. The controls are very straightforward so it is easy to use and the noise when running is not intrusive. The capacity is good and it offers a useful selection of cycles.

- The only fault I can find with his machine is that it does not indicate how far through the cycle it has reached.

+ No problems at all with washing. We can set machine to work in early hours to reduce cost of electricity.

- The only problem we have had was the connection for the water hose at the rear of the machine kept leaking.
This was caused by the washer/seal not seating properly.
Once the problem was found we have not had any further leaks.
As we have to man handle the machine under the work surface in limited space a lot of effort was required to resolve the problem.

+ I have nothing negative to say about this machine, it is at the lower price range and it does a perfectly good job. Good spin, lots of programmes (they are all a bit long but I think thats the case with all modern washing machines). Looks perfectly fine and works as described. All in all great value for money.

+ Its a basic washing machine that seems to do everything the manufacturer claims and it suits my very basic requirents.

- There is no hot fill feature so that all the hot water used for washing has to be heated using expensive electricity within the machine, this also slows down cycle times whilst waiting for the water to be heated. Anyone that has taken the trouble and expense to install solar water heating or perhaps a heat pump will not be able to use this to advantage in this machine.

- Loud when on spin cycle. I choose a Zanussi as my previous one which was a different model had given 9 very good years of service however I'm not at all satisfied with this model as it just doesn't get clothes clean. I have a three year old and so clothing tends to have food stains on but my old model would have cleaned them with no problem but however on the same temperature wash on this model things are still coming out stained even after washing them several times. Overall I wouldn't recommend and I wish I hadn't chosen this model now.

+ I am thrilled with the Zanussi. I do not hear it spinning, do not have to turn the TV up or close the lounge door. Great value for money. I love it.

- It does protrude out from under the worktop and is easy to pause the washing cycle by accident if you lean onto the button, but we all take care not to lean against it now.

+ This machine was chosen for it's reliability and simplicity; at the end of the day who needs a machine that washes clothes to have flashing lights and a digital display? It is very easy to use and has progammes to suit everthing. Our last machine (Indesit) never left clothes smelling fresh but this is far better and gives great results with minimal creasing. The bild quality appears much better than most of the other newer brands on the market. This was a great buy and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

The timer delay setting is great for night time washes.
Compared to my last machine (not a Zanussi) this one is very quiet.
