fantastic picture enjoyable for child to look at
good idea to have torch/glow light

child almost too intersted in it and wanted to play with it
battery charge didn't last very long
not bright enough when used as night light
not really sturdy enough, ours cracked almost immediately

+ child doesnt like sleeping in the dark, he loves Thomas and this will give him a feeling of being a bit more secure. He is nearly three and he can use the torch to go to the toilet if he needs too. He is at the age where he imagines all sorts of weird and wonderful things around him at night. He can also use the torch to dispel the shadows, aaah bless.
- He can also use the torch to go and 'visit' the rest of the family in the middle of the night. His mum never knows which bed he is going to wake up in.

+ It's small enough for little hands to use the "torch" part easily but is still an effective night-light. It's not too bright and the "Thomas" theme means it's a big hit with my 2 year-old son!
