Vax VZL-6016 Reviews: , Upright, Bagless Vacuum cleaner

+ The suction levels are much better than those of the Dyson I have replaced it with, I am finding tiny pieces of grit in the bin so it's definitely cleaning all the way through the carpet. My carpet is noticeably cleaner. The hose is not part of the handle which is a much better design, the hose on my previous vacuum split due to the angle of it against the metal in the handle. The features all work as described and as I have a mixture of wooden floors and carpets it's a good multi purpose vacuum. The turbo tool is fantastic for collecting cat hairs and the ability to change the height of the handle is a useful extra. The self retracting cord is a great idea, having to wind cables over hooks on the back of a vacuum is one of those small but tedious things that everyone hates doing!

- It's quite heavy so it's hard work taking it up flights of stairs and the fact that it comes with two tools that can't be stored onboard is a small annoyance - this is well outweighed by the performance though.

+ The long hose means you can do the stairs in one go, without the need to go up and down the stairs.
Lots of attachments for all the different jobs you need to do and they're all easy to use and attach.

- It's really heavy so when you do have to take it up the stairs, it's quite awkward

+ All tools are very good, especially the mini brush head. Easy to empty.

- Very noisy, very cumbersome and tips up too easily when using attachments causing dents in walls or bumps on the head!

+ Picks up well, all the different attachments are very handy especially the one for the stairs and wood floors.

+ The suction power is unbelievable even with the extension hose fitted cleaning the ducs off the top of wardrobes it is awesome. You do not but a prduct for its looks you buy the prduct to do the job it is intended to do. To this end the VAX VZL-6016 Upright does its job very well indeed. Very easy to empty, and no fitter to clean is a god send.

- Cable reel and dispenser fitted to the wrong place at the base of the hoover, it trails and gets caught etc your forever having to move it out of the way and hold the cable while you move the hoover during clean operations. The unit is not suitable for anyone who can not lift the hoover as it is very heavy to move and navigating the area you wish to clean can be very tiring for say an older person.
