Vax V-091 Performance Reviews: , Cylinder, Bagless Vacuum cleaner

+ Quite lightweight and nimble.

- Cumbersome handle design, disappointing suction quality.

+ The machine looks stylish and powerful, but that's about all.

- Poor performance generally. The dust collector has to be cleaned after every use (and sometimes twice on the same day). It does not pick up hairs or cotton threads or indeed anything 'difficult' (unlike our much missed previous cleaner). The main cleaning head doesn't work well on carpet or a tiled floor, so it is constantly having to be changed with either the bare nozzle or crevice cleaner. We really do think this is a shockingly bad piece of equipment from a maker which we thought had a good name. We will never purchase a Vax again, and will encourage our friends to keep away from this brand.

+ Easy to empty. good suction although not for long. robust.

- heavy, difficult to manouvre, takes forever to clean filter which has to be done very often. Storage impossible unless you have a very large cupboard.

+ The cleaner is a good sturdy design with a controlable motor. It dosnt have a load of fiddly attachments that fall off easily and get in the way. All in all a good cleaner

- Filter element takes a fair bit of cleaning and can be detrimental to the performance if its not cleaned out well..

+ picks up lovely, easy to handle

- bit bulky for storage

+ Very powerfull good cleaning action.

- I find it very heavy to use.

+ I bought a vax for my eldest son in glasgow and so impressed with it that I bought one for my other son who lives in newtownards, NI. I am now considering one for myself.

+ Good - Very good suction and the tools are very useful.

- Bad - Tools do not stay on and the hoover is very heavy.
