+ Does job well

- Cumbersome, heavy when used as a carpet cleaner

+ Large reservoir for both clean and soiled water.

- Bulky, cumbersome fairly complex to set up and not completely effective on carpet either. An upholstery and stair carpet wash tool included would be better as it would then be a real all rounder. NOT IMPRESSED

+ It was a cheap product and can be used as a vacuum as well as a carpet cleaner.
The castors on the base allow for easy travel even across a long pile carpet.

- The filter on the internal hose into the cleaning solution constantly clogged up with fluff preventing ease of operation. There was no wet upholstery tool which misled my initial purchase and instore advice that it had one.
Quite bulky for storage.

+ Great for doing the hoovering and even better for cleaning up the spills my 16 month old son makes

+ the vax has an extra long far reaching hose, the wheels glide freely allowing the machine to travel easily along behind you. It has good suction and the onboard tools are always to hand. Carpets come up really clean when using the vax in wash mode. The dirty water in the tank is really embarrassing!

- Hasn't really got any it does what it says it will. The storage of all the wash tools & bits can be a problem as there are lots.

- suction not strong enough to reallygive the carpets a good cleaning. no handle to hold so it makes it harder to handle.

+ Had a very old Vax. The new one seems to need much less effort to use but with the same results!

+ Does exactly what it says on the tin.....having two pets and hairy ones its brilliant for the carpets...and the extra cleaning aids are a boon.

+ Dry vacuuming works well - especially for vehicle interiors - which was the intended use, in this case.

- Shampoo set-up and use is very fiddly. Certainly improves carpets - but possibly not as much as a hired carpet machine. The lack of a small shampoo head makes it impossible to shampoo stairs, vehicle interiors or upholstery. This severely limits its usefulness.
