+ Very easy to understand the instructions. Vax is easy to use and the results are amazing..

- Sometimes it the water going to the head stops even though there is still water in the tank, I discovered you need the water to be quite warm for it to circulate easier.

+ A step improvement on the previous model (that lasted +10yrs. The previous model was very good in its own right, and never broke down). VAX customer services are real people, easily contactable, and keen to please.

+ High powered engine, versatile.

- The machine is very bulky and it is not completely straightforward to assemble to carry out the particular job you want to do i.e. washing the carpet and I feel should I have a water spillage by the time I've worked out which bits to use and put them together or taken out the bits I don't need there would be even more water to suck up. There are also so many 'do nots' that it almost puts you off using it.

+ The cleaner is very powerful and works very well, subject to caveats below.

- It is necessary to have the turbo head. The head supplied with it wasn't much good. Also the cloth dust bag should come as standard. For some people, it could be heavy to move round.

+ excellent at getting up the dirt in carpet and doesnt leave the carpet wet. because head relatively small can concentrate on problem areas. has the advantage of being wet and dry. works well on flotex carpets.

+ as a hoover it is easy to use and cleans the carpet well. As a carpet cleaner it freshens your carpet and nearly dries the carpet so you are not struggling around wet areas of carpet

- As a carpet cleaner it doesn't clean very dirty areas as well as I expected.

+ This is an excellent product,easy to use and assemble(just follow the easy and simple step by step instructions) as a hoover it's incredible.....wonderful suction (with a pet hair head attachment....not supplied) animal hairs are not a problem at all !!!. Good range of attachment tools supplied,easy moving on castors a little on the big side to store but I don't consider that a minus. As a carpet washer and wet spills remover it's once again brilliant..ok it doesn't clean the same way as an upright carpet washer but it's still very good, stubborn stains may need to be worked on more than once... it not only washes but dries the carpet well too and I can only sing it's praises.....my last Vax lasted 9 years........all in all this is an excellent, reliable multi purpose machine. Also I must add there is a really sufficiently long electrical lead on this appliance.
