+ These Ultimate Ears 5PRMBX earphones are a sonic revelation and take personal music player audio quality way beyond my unashamedly high expectations. If you're (a) an audiophile, (b) your player is good enough, and (c) listening to quality (lossless) rips, these earphones are worth every penny. I've rated them 9 out of 10 in all areas only because 10 out of 10 for any product is virtually impossible to imagine let alone achieve.

- Everyone should experience earphones of this standard. But at this price, sadly, too many people are going to be put off.

+ excellent sound quality. Much better than normal earphones. highly reccommended. I will never use any others now. There is no going back once you have heard these.

- Take a bit of getting used to inserting. A bit cumbersome. Once they are in, by getting the correct covers on first, a bit of trial and error though, the sound is awesome.

+ Superb clarity of sound, excellent bass, a music experience like no other and combined with the best mp3/FLAC player there is the Cowan D2 then you will be in audio heaven, well I am anyway.

- Can be tricky to get the fit just right, out of the buds that come with I found the foam ones to be the best but, there is only one pair and they are not washable so,I invested in a pack of Comply T-500 Ultra Soft Foam Tips and these just make the experience even better.
