Toshiba 42RV635DB Reviews: Regza RV635, 42" Screen LCD Full HD 1080p TV

+ nice design, great picture and good digital sensitivity compared to an alternative that I returned. Great set of inputs, super with BBC iplayer and a laptop!

- Zoom, as with many of these televisions I would like much easier was to zoom the picture to fill the screen

+ Superb T.V. High def is fantastic. Even standard channels look good. Playstation 3 looks top quality, and the price is good value for a 42" set.

+ Excellent picture quality especially on HD - Have not tried the Freeview as we have SKY+HD which is superb.

+ the clarity of the picture & sound are supurb,easy set up,design smart.
My son comes round more to watch sports ( unfortunatley ) as i am not keen on sports.

- Can not seem to scroll up and down channels whilst watching a channel.
no pip or card reader.

+ Looks beautiful (for a telly!), nice crisp picture! Really very decent contrast for an LCD with pretty near excellent neutral colours and very good blacks! Has a very good overall backlight uniformity .. very well lit right to the edges of the screen! Looks sensational on movies, even from highly compressed Sky feed via scart! From my upscaling DVD player looks wonderful!

- Bit slow to switch on from hard start (i.e. using the power on/off switch, not from standby!). Sound isn't the best (but is certainly acceptable), but being an LCD there's nowhere in the cabinet to put chunkier speakers!

- Have to manually switch over wide screen in HD. It doesn't always recognise what the signal is

+ Great package, wall mounted, looks the business. Everything about this television is great except.......

- Takes a long time to turn on from cold, start the process, go and make cuppa and come back, less frustrating really. Very clever technology reminds me of a windows computer during boot up.........

- -remote control appeared small and not of good quality and of bad design
-not easy to switch between input devices

+ easy access to side ports ie USB and HDMI port

- Have'nt found any bad points up to now
