Honestly you will not go wrong with this television, there's not one thing bad against it, amazing picture especially when using xbox 360 with hdmi, sound is far better than any other tv I've owned, also I've found its not a major dust collector which is nice! (Power button to turn off is a nice novelty) Game mode, film mode etc etc its great!!
-
Only down side is the freeview is not digital ready, so when the switch does come you'll have to use digital through some other device (freeview box, sky etc)

Was easy to set up, fairly lightweight so I can transport it myself but seems robust enough. Picture is very good and has been easy to adjust colour etc to my preference. Nice sleek design, doesn't look out of place in my bedroom, and I'm really getting on with it.
-
Menu hasn't had a great deal of thought put into it, looks a bit shabby and is sometimes hard to decipher where to find sinple things like the picture ratio. In terms of displaying films etc with different screen ratios there is sometimes a bit of a problem - one film for example could fill the screen well but then the subtitles for the foreign sections were cut off at the bottom - not very useful!

Everything! HD DVDs and PS3 games look stunning, the freeview tuner is simple and has a easy to use interface. Obviously being such a high resolution, the images may look a bit strange close up, but it still looks fantastic!
-
Can't think of any, except the model number. I ordered the 32XV505DB, but was sent a 32AV505DB, probably because the numbers looked so similar they picked the wrong one for the order!

It was not clear in the info before I purchased the TV that this model has a silver trim around the edge. This is fine for me but may not suit everyone. It is described on the carton even as "Gloss Black" not "Silver/Black"

1:1 pixel mapping with PC connected via HDMI at 1920x1080.
No annoying buzzing noises from backlight that earlier models suffered from.

Connections at back of set should face downwards to enable mounting as flush to the wall as possible.

Sound is a bit boomy for me, picture can be a little fuzzy on some programs, but I think this is down to broadcasting more than the TV's abilities. Still getting to grips with the manual!

Excellent price in comparison to others on the market that are more expensive and are not even 1080p! Not the mention the god awful Goodmans etc and those with a contrast ratio of 1500:1!
Have not really had it up loud but u would probably need a good system for basey / really good sound....I cant have surround sound as i am part deaf and it leaves me running aroud the room to find the main speaker lol

Stunning Design! Absolutely georgous picture when used with a 1080p source, sound ok for a tv that doesnt even look like its got speakers!! Love the way it remembers each channels setting seperately, (colour, contrast, sharpness etc). Nice swivel stand and very sturdy considering. Well Happy ;-)
-
Ive had to think really hard for this.. the built in freeview looks a bit cheap on the menu's and isnt digital but anologue so you would need a freeview box using scart/hdmi for the switchover.
Also, you cannot fix this up flush against a wall due to the connection types sticking out the rear, a bracket is your answer if wall mounting is your question.

Still haven't used TV at full 1080p, however the image quality of the built-in Freeview channels is superb. The remote control is fairly easy to use (certainly in par with other makes I've used - Pioneer, Sharp). The unit feels robust, looks good and provides many external connections (e.g., hdmi, SCART, composite...).
-
The one downside I have found is that the in-built speakers will distort the sound when playing at high volume. This will (should?) not be an issue indoors under "normal" viewing conditions (my unit is located in an outdoor building where there is background noise and therefore the volume needs to be high).

Was cheapest "good brand" 1080p at the time of purchase. Considered the Samsung equivalent, but my old Tosh TV hadn't missed a heart beat in 13 years of ownership, so went with Tosh.

Not exactly the cutting edge of style. Was a little disappointed at it's appearance. Remote not very stylish either, but functions are well laid out.

Screen size is measured diagonally from corner to corner.
Type of Screen

LCD
Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.
HD TV

Full HD 1080p
‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have
• Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format)
• Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats
• An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface)
Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second.
Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
HDMI Interface

3
Like a scart interface but capable of carrying HD signals from or to other devices. You’ll need these to link your Playstation 3 or your Blu-ray player to your HD-ready TV.
Number of Scart Interfaces

2
Scart sockets are places where you can connect other devices to your TV. If you already have a DVD player, a VCR and a Playstation you might want to make sure your new TV has enough Scart interfaces so you don’t have to keep crawling round the back of the TV.
Frequency (Hz)

50
A TV’s frequency is how often the picture is updated per second, and is measured in Hertz (Hz). A higher frequency, such as 100 Hz, means that a TV is more likely to show fast-moving images with high detail.
Contrast Ratio (X:1)

30000
This figure is designed to tell you how much difference there is between dark and light colours on the TV. It is quoted as a ratio, between the brightest white and the darkest black. 500:1 means the brightest white is 500 times more bright than the darkest black. Plasma screens have historically boasted better contrast ratios than LCD screens.
Screen Resolution (pixels)

1080p
The number of pixels the screen has. The more you have, the more detail the screen can display, given a high quality source.
A breakdown of resolutions can be found on Wikipedia here

Also known as the viewing angle, it’s a measure of how good the picture looks when you are not face on to the screen. Higher is better.

This is a ratio of the horizontal to the vertical size of the screen. 16:9 is standard widescreen format for TVs, replacing the older 4:3 format.

Brightness in Candela per square metre

Brighter TVs, such as LCDs, tend to provide a better experience in lighter rooms, whereas TVs with a lower brightness, such as many plasma TVs, are often better suited to darker rooms.

If you’d like to use your TV as a PC monitor you’ll need to make sure it has a port to allow you to connect it. This is usually a VGA port, but some TVs include a newer DVI port. Adaptors are availible to allow VGA to DVI and vice versa.
