+ Very easy to set up, very good picture and sound quality for LCD in this price bracket. To get significantly better would need to spend a lot more therefore good value for money

+ Picture quality good.

- Sound muffled and disappointing. I have bought seperate speakers to overcome this, but I have to go back into the menu to adjust the volume each time the set is put on standby as it reverts back to default.

+ Picture on digital freeview tv is really good. Good size screen for a small room. Fits on the bedroom wall nicely and it's out of the way. Cheaper than other leading brands of similar size. I'd recommend one for the price.

- Certain sounds can cause vibration on tv panels causing some distortion, but not always. Stretches the edges of older tv programes channels (like 'carry on' films) to fill the 16:9 which does look odd at times (maybe its my setup?) but newer tv program channels look great.

+ Easy to search for stations and setting up.
Menu screens are well thought out.
Remote is full of features.
Size and shape of TV influenced purchasing decision - nice slim look.

- No on/off button - means you have to unplug it or it stays on on standby mode.
Generally the screen colours are too dark - no enough brightness even with adjustments.
This means blacks are not clearly defined and merge eg, on people if wearing dark suits can't see edges of suit clearly.
Sound volume could have a higher scale.

Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.
HD TV	HD Ready
‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have • Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format) • Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats • An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface) Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second. Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
