- A bit heavy and the new removable suction cup not the easiest thing to get on and off. Don't know if it is me or not but I also find it difficult to connect ths USB lead to the unit.

+ I have always been reluctant to buy a sat nav in the past feeling that they were unneccesary but having had one I wouldn't be without it it makes the whole driving experience that much more pleasurable knowing that the sat nav will tell you the next turn.

+ Good design, sticks to windscreen firmly and easy to angle. Easy to set up and use even if you are not familiar with sat navs. Takes a lot of stress out of driving and planning a journey - no longer as late as I used to be! Real peace of mind - especially if you are rubbish with directions and get stressed when you get lost. Lots of cool options for voice and appearance on web when you install the cd.

- Not too good on rural roads. Took me around all of the windy roads instead of the main ones. I think this is because some of the main roads had 30 limits and the windy roads are technically 60mph but you could not drive over 30 on them anyway. Journey therefore was more difficult and longer than it could have been. Also counted sharp corners as junctions.

+ Only used this for one journey so far. Quite impressed with the operation and navigability of the product.
(Did ask me to turn into an entrance to a cow pasture, however, at one point.)

- Do not like the cable from the machine threading across the windscreen position to the cigarette lighter
power input.( Where else - not for me to design )

+ It is idiot proof which is what I need to work new technological things. It is easy to understand voice and pleasant to listen to. It has never let me down.

- Only a car charger included in the box, so had to buy a mains charger so it could be used at home to plan journeys. There are very few Points of Interest on it, even after updating maps etc.

+ Nice big clear screen, voice intsructions are nice and loud. Overall very good purchase

- Mine is quite difficult to get out of the window mount, and battery could last a bit longer

+ Large screen displays all info you require. Touch screen makes it simple to operate and with TomTom home you can keep the map info updated on a regular basis. Voice instructions can be followed without the need to keep looking at the screen - more able to concentrate on driving safely.

- Some destinations found to be a few hundred yards adrift - own home address was 300 yds further down the road and on the opposite side?. Tend to forget that battery needs charging when not in regular use - would be nice to have a low battery warning (Like on a mobile phone).

- Takes a while to find its position and very slow to recalculate route if an alternative road is taken. Also - difficult to use the touch screen when entering post codes, as the letters are very close. Thankfully my wife has small fingers.

+ its a good devise, I have had one for ages, the one I bough from recently was for my son, as he will be travelling round the country, It has always got me to the places I want to go.

- roundabouts seem to trick any Tom Tom even updated ones.

+ excellent large screen . had smaller tom tom before this model sorts out screen size much better.

- seems to tkae too long finding gps on start up once got it fine. still some maps issues ie new routres which have been there a long time.

- Because our car has a windscreeen that slopes we did find that the Tom Tom only stuck to the window when we would rather it stick to the dashboard.

+ it really does take the pressure of when going to an unfamiliar place

+ Very clear screen with plenty of information. Easy interface with computer for updates and personalising of user interface. Have bought the additional Traffic receiver which again is easy to use it enabled us to avoid a lengthy tailback - well worth the extra little money.

- Window sucker must be moist before fixing otherwise unit keeps falling off windscreen. Have found a Point of Interest not to have been updated with a more recent postcode and thus gave us incorrect directions, (i.e. to the rear of a theme park instead of main entrance).
