Voice gives very clear instructions and therefore you do not have to keep looking at the screen look at the screen whilst driving.

Not always accurate on number of exits at roundabouts. For example, on our own local roundabout, we are told to take the fourth exit where there are only three exits.
The touch screen pad is not easy for even female sized fingers. Male sized fingers would need to use a stylus.
Charging the TomTom from the cigarette lighter point on some cars could interfere with the gear stick. Although we charge the TomTom at home, the charge does not often last for both legs of even a fairly short journey.

Biggest problem was trusting the directions. Navigated me around Manchester to two destinations no problem. Superb once you trust it.

Long diversion meant apart from telling me to turn around it went silent

It has often not booted up and I have frequently had to reset it - for some strange reason. This is not difficult to do, just frustrating when I'm in a hurry. The windscreen attachment demands quite a bit of strength to secure it but at least I know it won't fall off mid-journey!

Does not have a battery charge indicator. Need to actually plan a route to check battery level. Care of battery instructions not provided with instrument. Some inaccuracies in instructions. TomTom needs to develop a system to acknowledge reported fault in directions and correct them asap.

On rare occasions it has told me to go the wrong way on a one way street, but in saying that I have used other brands of sat navs and they have also had the same problem on occasion. More points of interest would be nice, e.g hotels and restaurants especially in more rural areas.

Clarity - has given me really good directions. Like the step by step guide you can run in advance as I use it in my horsebox and helps to see what sort of roads are in the route and how I should amend the estimated time accordingly.

Battery drains even when not in use. Volume settings can't easily be adjusted when in use, unless I just haven't found out how to do it yet! I seem to have to go through the whole menu which is difficult when driving.
