+ Clear graphics, easy to use and display of approximate arrival time is very useful. Takes the stress out of driving in unfamiliar towns – worth the money for that alone.

- Loses the satellites in town centres with tall buildings. A bit slow to start up sometimes.

+ Overall I wouldn't be without it , it is my right hand and my best friend.

- Sometimes I don't think it takes you the most direct route.

+ found the size very good and the product very easy to use. The mapping was very clear and the speech easy to understand.

+ As a first time user this product worked far better than I thought it would to the extent that after the first time it was used I trusted it to get me where I was going

+ overall good product, easy to carry round, hooks up quick to satelites, clear screen, good touch screen, easy to use. Well worth payin an extra few quid fot this device over others.

- doesnt know about heavy traffic routes at peak times, also does not learn when you change to a preferred route that you know is quicker than the devices strait line due to traffic, traffic lights etc. I suppose that is in the future anyway?

- Bracket to attch to car window could be better designed and usb port could be centralised as lead exits one way.
A free case could be included and a screen protector.

- Sometimes it is two seconds behind where you are on the road - if you do not pay attention to where you are going (and the numerous verbal instructions), you could miss a turning - not so much a bad point as a reminder that the driver must still use his/her own intelligence / judgement.

+ On a visit to Brugge, a city we had not visited before, we were taken from our home in Northamptonshire to the door of the hotel in Brugge via the Euro Tunnel, the complete route being told to us by our new Tom Tom WE, we were delighted with the machine, and it took the stress out of our holiday.

- No headphone socket and occasionally crashes. Compact size can make it difficult to pan across maps. Some of the POI's (Doctor / Pharmacy) only show locations in Ireland?

+ clarity of design and of maps thereon........ could be more intricate utilising all streets in respective areas to assist in avoiding hold ups but otherwise a very good product for the money invested

- could be slightly larger in design as this would assist elderly drivers with slightly impaired vision and comments as above applied..

+ Very compact & lightweight, easy to use. This was bought as a present and has been tested in Spain where the owner was delighted by its accuracy and detailed information including road names & one way systems.

- Window screen holder not very secure to the glass. Difficult to fix sat nav to holder. Sat nav does not appear to use/ recognise post codes

- a step by step guide with MORE info in with product would be easier than having to go online to print it....

- Takes a long to time to find a GPS signal when switched on (normally around 3 minutes). Also, on a number of occasions it has completely lost direction and shown that I am in a cul-de-sac or field when I was actually on a main A-road.

+ Tom Tom is easy to use. It makes Sat Nav simple enough for any user, and is quite effective.
Recent destinations is very helpful.

- Not always completely accurate, and occasionally plots you slightly off course, although this is relatively rare and adjusts shortly after.
Speed camera warnings show for both sides of the road and is not dependent on the direction you are traveling, making the camera warnings very annoying at times.

- Maps of france are not as up to date as the uk maps. mounting has been a problem as the sucker is not so good and there is no alternative system such as air vent clips. A hard copy of the instructions should be provided.
