The TomTom Go 520 lives upto the TomTom reputation in that it's simple and straight forward to use and has alot of features which you don't think you need until you start using them. The built in bluetooth and fm transmitter being prime examples of this.
-
Alot of the roads are out of date and even though you have the ability to correct these and submit them via TomTom Home for other users, it's not always possible to pull over and write a detailed description on how what part of the road is incorrect. It needs some sort of 'tag for later' function which would allow easy access to the correction so you can do this at the end of your journey.

Very easy to set up your destinations.
Windscreen fitting easy and secure (didn;t drop off at all on travel).
Satellites response was quite swift - even indoors they worked !
Screen display was quite good even in sunny conditions.
-
I found that when setting a street number (say 45 Church st) , Tomtom said you were there before you actually got there (say when you got to 35 it said you were there).
But this is a very minor point, you always are in sight of where you wanted to be.

Stick-on screen mounting not as good as the Garmin machine (which I previously owned).
Down loading maps proved difficult and requires a good deal of computer litteracy. The site went down as I was downloading which resulted in the software on the sat-nav failing totally. I had to contact the help desk and completely reload the software.
