+ We have had one of these before and only had to replace it because I made a mistake after cleaning it and put the basket back in before adding the fat which caused it to burn! The ease of cleaning this fryer, however, is one of it's best features.

- Fries are not so crispy as I was expected. Otherthan that it's great.

- I find it takes alot longer to heat the oil and then cook the chips - longer than the one I had previously.

+ Lots of room to cook the chips properly. Chips really taste good. They are much better than oven chips.It was so cheap that I can renew it every other year. The lid is easy to remove for cleaning.
- This is my 3rd and I really hate cleaning the inside, before I change the oil.The oil gets caked to the sides and it is very difficult to get rid of that greasy gunk. It would be much easier if the inside could be removed for cleaning in the sink.
