+ Its is so easy and quick to use, plus it looks great on the kitchen side. What a talking point when people first come into the kitchen.
- It over fills a mug and there is no way of changing the temperature, as I like my coffee cooler than my husband and he feels the water is not hot enough and I have to put it in the microwave before I give him his coffee.
purchased 27 Nov 2007
+ Quick and east
- Sometimes the hot water button is temperamental and you need to switch off at the wall wait a few seconds turn back on and it seems to re-set
purchased 18 Oct 2007
+
you take ther jug to the water supply so no trailing plugs and leads to get wet
no waiting for the kettle to boil
easy on the eye a nice feature in a kitchen
- not so easy to work out the settings for a full cup or to hold the memory ( think it takes time, paitence and practise) sure dead easy once you know how
purchased 28 Jan 2008
+ water savings
- cold tea
purchased 02 Dec 2007
+ You boil only what you neeed.
- Not good if you need lots of hot water for a tea pot. You will need a normal kettle for those situations. Water is not as hot as a freshly boiled kettle.
purchased 22 Feb 2008
+ Easy to use
- Not hot
purchased 06 Jan 2008
+ In theory, the sheer convenience from a time perspective, plus there is of course the added bonus of a [potential] energy saving.
- It doesn't work that well at all. Basically, if you make tea [or coffee] with it, you end up having to heat the tea up in the microwave for 30 seconds otherwise it's simply 'quite warm'.
purchased 11 Dec 2007
+ a good idea. liked to be able to save energy
- water no where near hot enough for a cup of tea or for making stock. very disappointed. returned within a few days
purchased 31 Oct 2007
+ 3 secs for boiling water is quick and very green no wasted hot water and it's all filtered.
- It dribles and spits VVVV annoying
purchased 07 Jan 2008
+ everything is ok but the water doesnt get hot enough

- didn't boil the water very hot went to change it and my friend said there's didn't get very hot ither so i asumed they where all the same so i just refunded it and told my friend to do the same.
purchased 21 Jan 2008
+ Does what it promises, gives instant hot water
- Very messy, we have one at work and it's ideal when a lot of people are using it, but I wouldn't have one at home because of the mess. It spurts and stutters a lot when dispensing the water and you get a lot of splashes on everything around it.
purchased 03 Dec 2007
+
You can set the Quick Cup to dispense the exact amount of Hot water you require for your size of Mug/Cup,although it makes quite a noise(like a Perculator) it's fast and very efficient, using 60% less electricity than a Kettle(based on 20 cups). The water comes out very Hot,not boling although it's easily hot enough for Tea/Coffee and the produced beverage stays hot for as long as a cuppa made with a kettle.
Overall I'm extreemly happy with my Purchase and would give the "Quick-Cup" 10/10 .
-
Slightly noisey when in use,but not too bad at all.
Firefox wouldn't allow me to use the number rating system Reevo use.
purchased 17 Mar 2008
+ Quick operation
-
noisy operation, Ok for single/ couple. water tank too small for a large family.
making tea- the machine does'ent get to biloing point so mashing a nice brew is difficult.
purchased 01 Jan 2008
+ It's very convenient to get warm water and it should save money overall as it only heats up the right amount of water each time.
- The water doesn't come out hot enough. Very often I have to microwave the water that comes out to get it hot enough to drink. Defeats the purpose of a 30 second cup of hot water if you have to then microwave it to get it up to temperature.
purchased 08 Jan 2008
+ it stops my son boiling a full kettle ! so saving money on the gas bill I hope.
- I sometimes feel its not hot enough, so I refill my cup when hald way down it
purchased 15 Mar 2008
+ not having to wait for that kettle to boil
- splashing of boiling water whilst making drink, if your holding cup there is a risk of scalding, if cup stood on work top makes a mess.
purchased 02 Mar 2008
+ Excellent idea, extremely easy to use
- None
purchased 04 Dec 2007
+ Ease of use and able to get a quick cup of tea of coffee
- Water could do with being a fraction hotter
purchased 07 Jan 2008
+ Simple, quick and easy to use. Useful for everyone especially for those who live alone including the elderly.
- Replacement water filter cartridges not easily available in town. Good idea to buy a couple at a time if getting to a retailer that stocks them is difficult.
purchased 12 Nov 2007
+ You only use the water that you require for a mug/cup. The fact that you can set the amount of water that is dispensed. It does not look unpleasant on a worktop.
- When making a cup of tea/coffee the water could be hotter. Sometimes the water drips from the dispenser and if the water container is not replaced correctly the water leaks out.

- the water get cold more quickely
purchased 11 Nov 2007
+ very good for instant use and water is hot enough for tea or coffee.Easy to use.
- Water jug could be a bit more robust.

- it makes cold or luke warm tea
purchased 07 Jan 2008
+
The quickness is obviously its best feature but it is also a very good looking (kettle), is easy to use and cleaning is a breeze. Its also perfect for having my morning hot water with lemon in, no waiting for a kettle to boil, its instant. Also for making Lem sips etc, when you come down in the middle of the night to a cold kitchen the last thing you want to do is wait around for the kettle to boil and then when it does you have to wait 10-20 minutes for it to be warm enough to drink.
Highly recommended........
- Its not really a bad point but if you like your tea so hot that it burns your mouth then this is not for you.
purchased 19 Mar 2008
+ Instant hot water when you want it.
- It splashes a bit. I seem to be filling it all the time. Cartridges are expensive and difficult to source
purchased 22 Mar 2008
+ It is quick and easy
- The product dosen't heat up the water as much over time (2 months) and becomes very loud
purchased 06 Jan 2008
+ It saves money (as its eco friendly) and time. There is none of the waiting around for the kettle to boil. I also use it to put water into pans for boiling/steaming vegetables.
- I can't think of any!

purchased 01 Dec 2007
+ easy to use. Saves on energy and looks good in any kitchen.
- Filters are not always available in local stores
purchased 03 Jan 2008
+ Delivers water hot enough for Tea, Coffee chocolate etc in 30 seconds, have not missed the kettle, even my teenage children now make themselves hot drinks with no hassle.
- Water filter lasted 7 days before warning light started to flash, Tea has a scum on the surface but dissappears after stirring and the taste in not affected. I use a jug to top up as the container becomes a bind to continually lift on and off to fill up.
purchased 02 Mar 2008
+ Only boil the water for one when i only want one cup
- When making coffee for a group , having to keep pressing the button for each cup

+ Fantastic idea - only boiling the water that you need
- It spits and splutters and is a scolding risk
purchased 25 Feb 2008

- the water does not come out boiling hot so you get a lot of froth on your drink, not good for tea at all!!

- When filling cup there is quite a bit of spluttering and coffee will splash over on to clothes etc.
purchased 28 Jan 2008
+ Just kepps on going filling cups!
- Sometimes a bit splashy but I can take it!
purchased 08 Jan 2008
+ it is great to get hot water instantly and takes the arguments out of making the tea.
- it does not boil the water to boiling point and therefore every cup of tea you make ends up with a white surf on top of it. bought one for home and office and they are both the same.
purchased 28 Jan 2008
+ easy and quick to use
- expensive to change filters, doesn't get as hot as a kettle
purchased 14 Jan 2008
+ Great product all points good
- splashes a but when filling cup
purchased 24 Mar 2008
+ the concept is an excellent one.
- The reservior is of such construction that it appears very fragile. The product is very loud and I'm not sure whether this is a fault or a feature of the product. The temperature of the water acheived is insufficient to brew a good cup of tea. It is therefore frustrating and consequently I have considered returning the item as it does not do what it claims to.
purchased 22 Mar 2008
+ instant hot water, no waiting for the kettle to boil. easy to fill, filtered water
- the water, although hot, it isn't boiling and can make the tea taste funny as if it was made from water that had been boiled and left to stand. This would be a fantastic product if only it produced hotter water.
purchased 18 Mar 2008
+ VERY QUICK AND EASY TO USE.
- THE WATER IS HOT, BUT NOT BOILING.
purchased 04 Mar 2008
+ Economical and quick
- When filling a mug the water can cause splattering out of the mug.
purchased 24 Mar 2008
+ Reasonably easy to use. Dispenses filtered cold water. Eco credentials - boil only what you need
-
DOES NOT HEAT WATER TO A HIGH ENOUGH TEMPERATURE!!!!
The water is nowhere near boiling point so it is impossible to make tea - and even instant coffee is lukewarm by the time you have added milk.
Non-recyclable filter cartridges
purchased 19 Mar 2008

- only thing i don't like is the noise it makes when it dispenses hot water, but its a small price to pay for the convenience.
purchased 17 Mar 2008
+ A drink instantly, little fuss. Great for coffee.
- Although I use it for tea making, I do think the water could do with being hotter.

- the kettle was exstremely noisy and the vibratiion went right through the walls . very bad product
purchased 19 Jan 2008
+ ease of use.young person friendly.Only heats what you use.
- Noisey.
purchased 24 Mar 2008
+ Overall a very good product especially if your in a rush or want a quick cup of tea or coffee without standing waiting for the kettle.
- A little bit noisey on operation, and could be a bit cheaper on cost. filter replacemet recomended every month or so which is a down point having to buy one of those @ £4.99. also you have to descale every 6 weeks or so with commercial white vinegar,
purchased 25 Mar 2008
+ Very cleaver, very easy to use and very handy.
- Spout should be longer or it should come with something to rest your cup/pot on, cause it does splash a bit as the spout is so high above the cup. Maybe in Mk II.
purchased 03 Mar 2008
+ Quick hot water and no wasted engery
- Very noisy and the water could be a bit hotter; it is fine for drinks but not for things such as steaming.
purchased 21 Mar 2008
+ So quick and easy to use. My partner absolutely loves his tea and cannot be happier with the fact he can have one in less then the time it takes him to ask me if I want a cup too. I like the fact that I can get filtered water at the touch of a button,
- The filter could be made to last a little longer than 2 months recommended usage before having to change it. Also I feel when you are paying this kind of money for an appliance you should at least get two thrown in with your purchase.
purchased 20 Mar 2008
+ no lifting,no chance of scolding, child proof, just press and go.

purchased 04 Mar 2008
+ This product is great if you often boil the kettle, wander off and forget about it! This way you drink more tea! The water is plenty hot enough to brew tea. You do get hot water in 3 seconds, but obviously it takes longer to fill the mug!
- It is noisy and it takes about 30 seconds to fill a mug, it was also quite expensive. If you're making more then two cups its better to use a kettle, so you would need the space for both items.
purchased 25 Mar 2008

a friend said - it only goes to 90degrees - so what i take my tea black. in fact v useful cos i can add cold water from same point. - my friend has subsequently played with it and burnt it.
i dont like the noise cos its different- my toddler however loves it and giggles around in my arms when it is put on . he definitely approves of this gadget
great for filtered water at room temperature for babys, kids, everyone. my toddler loves drinks slightly warm still like breast milk so its great to warm up something fom the fridge with a little splash of hot!!
i love it still v stylish and ultra modern want to buy for my mum but still too expensive
-
reservoir seems to run down quickly even though thers just me and toddler at home. you often think theres still some left but there isnt really. probably cos kettles have window higher . istill only need to fill about once/twice a day tho
a little noisy but very short time as opposed to kettle boiling forever when interesting tv programme on
when i make 'real'coffee with filter and cup spout is just a bit too low so i use another cup but coffee not v hot after - good to put hot water in cup to heat up

purchased 23 Mar 2008
+ It does what it says it does and gives you instant hot water.
- It does tend to spit and hiss a lot!
purchased 20 Feb 2008
+ Delivers "hot water" in a matter of seconds
- Water is not hot enough to make a decent cup of tea and it is also very noisy.
purchased 30 Dec 2007
+ Being ab le to get an instant tea or coffee - very usefull for one person. I use it often.
- spits when filling cup, have to put cup on tray.
purchased 01 Apr 2008
+ Its quick and easy to use. Instant hot water without the wait and at a temperature that is drinkable .Also good for safety if you have children as it only ever has cold water in the tank.
- The flow is a bit slow and splashes quite a lot. It is also a bit noisy.
purchased 26 Mar 2008
+ Great concept.
- Extremely noisy, the tanks holds very little water and it does not dispense properly.
purchased 23 Mar 2008
+ The time it takes to heat is a plus and the design is quite unique
-
It spits hot water everywhere when heating up which then marks the stainless steel if not dried immediately.
It isn't boiling water and as there is no stand for your mug it makes the splashing worse
purchased 22 Mar 2008

+ convenient and fast!
- not quite boiling water
purchased 11 Mar 2008
+ very quick and convenient.
- it's noisy. No automatic shut off if it runs out of water whilst using it.
purchased 26 Mar 2008
+ Quick
- Doesn't boil the water- rubbish!! Gone back to the old kettle.
purchased 03 Apr 2008
+ as it says in the name - its quick. good on energy efficiency. Not disappointed with it but it could be better for the cost.
- filling saucepans is tiresome as it takes several times to fill. also water is not as hot as traditional kettle so drinks need to be consumed straight away.
purchased 22 Mar 2008
+ It makes, making coffe and so easy I just love how quick I can make it.
- Only thing I'm not keen on is if it needs descaling, I do not like doing that.
purchased 14 Aug 2008
+ simple way to make cup of coffee
- first unit we had broke down within a few weeks, the replacement is however completely improved
purchased 26 May 2008

instant boiling water
measurments are exact for my cups
-
a bit splurty - better to put water in first then make drink
could hold more water
purchased 15 Apr 2008
+ Good for a speedy single cuppa .
- If you need to make multiple cups its awkward and very noisy. Cant say it seems to keep its heat in the cup in the same way as water from a kettle.
purchased 24 May 2008
+ Instant ho water, Saves time and is energy efficient
- Filter noy widely available i.e. in supermarkets
purchased 18 May 2008
+ Convenience. Energy saving. Time saving. Easy to operate.
- Reservoir seems a bit flimsy. Reservoir difficult to locate onto water valve easily. Noisy.
purchased 29 Apr 2008
+ Nothing
- The design is very clumsy and the plastic jug is of poor quality. I did not realise that it was a quick cup, therfore for family use it is not practical. You have to hold the cup right up to the nozzle other wise it just splatters all over. Anyway, how many people use cups today? I love a mug of tea on a morning a cup just would not do! It will be another gadget that is put to the back of the cupboard.
purchased 11 Apr 2008
+ Very convenient
- bit noisy
purchased 14 May 2008
+ handy for just one cup economical uses less electricty
- water initially cold
purchased 11 May 2008
+ It biols really quickly and as a disabled person makes it safer for me as i don't have to lift a boiling kettle. It holds a good amount of water, it's really good if youwant a quick cup of tea/coffee before you leave home.
- It is a little loud when pouring, and it tends to leave a residue on the top of the water oin the cup.
purchased 21 Apr 2008
+ It does what it says it does - it heats the water in seconds. Although the water is hot enough for coffee, tea it is not boiling.
- Taste - tea and coffee taste different with water heated in the Tefal. We don't know if it's the fact that the water isn't boiling or if it is the filter. But drinks don't taste the same.
purchased 05 May 2008
+ AS THE NAME SAYS, IT'S QUICK INSTANT ALMOST.
- SMALL WATER CONTAINER, REGULAR REFILLS. NOT TOO WELL DESIGNED AS PRODUCT LIKELY TO BE POSITIONED FOR SAFETY AWAY FROM KITCHEN WORKTOP EDGE.
purchased 18 May 2008
+ filters water from the tap
-
water not hot enough
very noisy
spits water every where and leaves a puddle under it
purchased 16 Apr 2008
+ The whole family love it, it would be even greater if they can design a chilled water part too.
- Took me a while to realise you could change the level of water it dispenses
purchased 17 May 2008
+ It boils the water very quickly and is energy efficient.
- It doesn't have a very large capacity - only holds about 4 mugs of water - you have to refill it much more often than a kettle.
purchased 06 Aug 2008
+ Boils the water you need, saves power.
- Unable to adjust automatic amount of water dispensed.
purchased 21 Jun 2008
+ Looks nice, easy to fill.
- Very noisey, drips a little after use.
purchased 01 Aug 2008
+ Definitely the speed. Compact and neat. Hot and cold water at a touch.
- Doesn't actually boil so not quite so versatile as a conventional kettle. Capacity not very large so not so good for a large family.
purchased 19 Aug 2008
+ its very quick and also you do not waste water or electricity by not boiling too much water
- the water drips from the outlet and since buying it , it has become very noisey
purchased 24 Aug 2008
+ Quickness to make tea
- water comes out slowly and leaves a froth on top of the water in the cup
purchased 24 Aug 2008
+ It boils the amount of water you need instantly, which must reduce the electricity used.
- Would like a slightly longer lead.
purchased 28 Aug 2008
+ Fast boil
- none really, but a larger capacity 'jug' would be helpful
