+ Its is so easy and quick to use, plus it looks great on the kitchen side. What a talking point when people first come into the kitchen.

- It over fills a mug and there is no way of changing the temperature, as I like my coffee cooler than my husband and he feels the water is not hot enough and I have to put it in the microwave before I give him his coffee.

+ Quick and east

- Sometimes the hot water button is temperamental and you need to switch off at the wall wait a few seconds turn back on and it seems to re-set

+ you take ther jug to the water supply so no trailing plugs and leads to get wet
no waiting for the kettle to boil
easy on the eye a nice feature in a kitchen

- not so easy to work out the settings for a full cup or to hold the memory ( think it takes time, paitence and practise) sure dead easy once you know how

+ You boil only what you neeed.

- Not good if you need lots of hot water for a tea pot. You will need a normal kettle for those situations. Water is not as hot as a freshly boiled kettle.

+ In theory, the sheer convenience from a time perspective, plus there is of course the added bonus of a [potential] energy saving.

- It doesn't work that well at all. Basically, if you make tea [or coffee] with it, you end up having to heat the tea up in the microwave for 30 seconds otherwise it's simply 'quite warm'.

- didn't boil the water very hot went to change it and my friend said there's didn't get very hot ither so i asumed they where all the same so i just refunded it and told my friend to do the same.

+ Does what it promises, gives instant hot water

- Very messy, we have one at work and it's ideal when a lot of people are using it, but I wouldn't have one at home because of the mess. It spurts and stutters a lot when dispensing the water and you get a lot of splashes on everything around it.

+ You can set the Quick Cup to dispense the exact amount of Hot water you require for your size of Mug/Cup,although it makes quite a noise(like a Perculator) it's fast and very efficient,using 60% less electricity than a Kettle(based on 20 cups). The water comes out very Hot,not boling although it's easily hot enough for Tea/Coffee and the produced beverage stays hot for as long as a cuppa made with a kettle.
Overall I'm extreemly happy with my Purchase and would give the "Quick-Cup" 10/10 .

- noisy operation, Ok for single/ couple. water tank too small for a large family.
making tea- the machine does'ent get to biloing point so mashing a nice brew is difficult.

+ It's very convenient to get warm water and it should save money overall as it only heats up the right amount of water each time.

- The water doesn't come out hot enough. Very often I have to microwave the water that comes out to get it hot enough to drink. Defeats the purpose of a 30 second cup of hot water if you have to then microwave it to get it up to temperature.

+ it stops my son boiling a full kettle ! so saving money on the gas bill I hope.

- I sometimes feel its not hot enough, so I refill my cup when hald way down it

+ You only use the water that you require for a mug/cup. The fact that you can set the amount of water that is dispensed. It does not look unpleasant on a worktop.

- When making a cup of tea/coffee the water could be hotter. Sometimes the water drips from the dispenser and if the water container is not replaced correctly the water leaks out.

+ The quickness is obviously its best feature but it is also a very good looking (kettle), is easy to use and cleaning is a breeze. Its also perfect for having my morning hot water with lemon in, no waiting for a kettle to boil, its instant. Also for making Lem sips etc, when you come down in the middle of the night to a cold kitchen the last thing you want to do is wait around for the kettle to boil and then when it does you have to wait 10-20 minutes for it to be warm enough to drink.
Highly recommended........

- Its not really a bad point but if you like your tea so hot that it burns your mouth then this is not for you.

- The product dosen't heat up the water as much over time (2 months) and becomes very loud

+ Delivers water hot enough for Tea, Coffee chocolate etc in 30 seconds, have not missed the kettle, even my teenage children now make themselves hot drinks with no hassle.

- Water filter lasted 7 days before warning light started to flash, Tea has a scum on the surface but dissappears after stirring and the taste in not affected. I use a jug to top up as the container becomes a bind to continually lift on and off to fill up.

- When filling cup there is quite a bit of spluttering and coffee will splash over on to clothes etc.

- it does not boil the water to boiling point and therefore every cup of tea you make ends up with a white surf on top of it. bought one for home and office and they are both the same.

- The reservior is of such construction that it appears very fragile. The product is very loud and I'm not sure whether this is a fault or a feature of the product. The temperature of the water acheived is insufficient to brew a good cup of tea. It is therefore frustrating and consequently I have considered returning the item as it does not do what it claims to.

- the water, although hot, it isn't boiling and can make the tea taste funny as if it was made from water that had been boiled and left to stand. This would be a fantastic product if only it produced hotter water.

- only thing i don't like is the noise it makes when it dispenses hot water, but its a small price to pay for the convenience.

- A little bit noisey on operation, and could be a bit cheaper on cost. filter replacemet recomended every month or so which is a down point having to buy one of those @ £4.99. also you have to descale every 6 weeks or so with commercial white vinegar,

- Spout should be longer or it should come with something to rest your cup/pot on, cause it does splash a bit as the spout is so high above the cup. Maybe in Mk II.

+ This product is great if you often boil the kettle, wander off and forget about it! This way you drink more tea! The water is plenty hot enough to brew tea. You do get hot water in 3 seconds, but obviously it takes longer to fill the mug!

- It is noisy and it takes about 30 seconds to fill a mug, it was also quite expensive. If you're making more then two cups its better to use a kettle, so you would need the space for both items.

+ a friend said - it only goes to 90degrees - so what i take my tea black. in fact v useful cos i can add cold water from same point. - my friend has subsequently played with it and burnt it.
i dont like the noise cos its different- my toddler however loves it and giggles around in my arms when it is put on . he definitely approves of this gadget
great for filtered water at room temperature for babys, kids, everyone. my toddler loves drinks slightly warm still like breast milk so its great to warm up something fom the fridge with a little splash of hot!!

- reservoir seems to run down quickly even though thers just me and toddler at home. you often think theres still some left but there isnt really. probably cos kettles have window higher . istill only need to fill about once/twice a day tho

when i make 'real'coffee with filter and cup spout is just a bit too low so i use another cup but coffee not v hot after - good to put hot water in cup to heat up

+ Being ab le to get an instant tea or coffee - very usefull for one person. I use it often.

+ as it says in the name - its quick. good on energy efficiency. Not disappointed with it but it could be better for the cost.

- The design is very clumsy and the plastic jug is of poor quality. I did not realise that it was a quick cup, therfore for family use it is not practical. You have to hold the cup right up to the nozzle other wise it just splatters all over. Anyway, how many people use cups today? I love a mug of tea on a morning a cup just would not do! It will be another gadget that is put to the back of the cupboard.

+ It does what it says it does - it heats the water in seconds. Although the water is hot enough for coffee, tea it is not boiling.

- Taste - tea and coffee taste different with water heated in the Tefal. We don't know if it's the fact that the water isn't boiling or if it is the filter. But drinks don't taste the same.
