- The sound is not loud enough for outside use. We bought this for our BBQ (At that price we didn't mind leaving it in the garden) but unfortunately we had to take it back inside. We turnt it up as high as we could but you could not hear the music over the other noise.

- The sound quality is very good, but the volume is quite restricted...a little louder..if required..would be a bonus.

+ In this day and age of high-level electronics, when a university degree in science would be useful to find your way around the operation manuals provided, it is refreshing to come across something that is easy to set up and operate. The Micro Hi-Fi is simplicity itself. What is more, it rewards you with good sound on both radio and CD operation. Lastly the price. Unbelievable that such a good product could be so inexpensive!

+ Very simple to use and sound quality is extraordinarily good in this price range.

- The CD door release mechanism is not very sturdy. The first one I had broke after two plays - a plastic piece fell off and the door would not close. The product was replaced but I am now being ultra-cautious, opening and closing the CD door extremely gently. It might not be suitable for use by children or in situations where you cannot monitor how it is being used. I decided to order a replacement as the sound quality and value for money were so hood.
