+ It upscales through HDMI to the latest TVs for good picture. Also has standard scart output and analogue audio output. Not too big, it's light and easy to take from place to place although that's not what it's intended for.
- The box is not impressive to look at but it is let down mainly by the omission of a separate digital audio output. Many people that want an impressive picture are also looking for impressive sound through a Dolby Digital and DTS processing amplifier and this player will not provide that signal unless you have the very latest designed amplifier with HDMI input. I had not noticed this when I purchased the DVD player and it is a disappointment to me for that reason. Most existing quality surround amplifiers have digital audio input facility but not HDMI

+ Cheap, decent quality picture and sound. Nice and compact.
- Remote control takes a bit of learning. Can make a 'click' noise during playback if disk isn't perfect.
