the built in DVD is great and is easy to use

- very occasionally the picture breaks up a bit but nothing that really concerns me,
I have it for use in my kitchen, I wouldn't let my child use the DVD (he is 5) as it is not very sturdy.
The remote control is not brilliant, you need to aim it at a certain point on the tv for it to work, I've got it down to a t now but it does frustrate my husband.

+ Looks smart, lightweight, easy to set up, good overall re picture and sound quality. Convenience of having inbuilt DVD and Freeview means less clutter and sockets needed

- DVD can be impeded if you have anything at that side (as I do) but TV is light enough just to twist it round to gain access. Limited on Freeview channels compared to some TV packages.

+ Great value combi TV/DVD player especially as it was purchased on a special offer. Setup was a breeze and reception on digital channel was very good as I only had a standard UHF aerial in the attic and my area is rated poor for digital reception.

- The on screen programme information is small and hard to read unless you have 20/20 vision.

+ Lightweight, easy to set up and install, good picture.

- Sound OK but better when connected to the Hi fi via a VCR however there are no output sockets to allow direct connection to a sound system only input. The DVD sound will not go through to the Hi fi for some reason, only the TV sound. I haven't yet worked out how to watch recorded pictures in a format other than 4:3 which is what it defaults to even when recording from DTV.

- Not very keen on the channel information graphics as you change channels. They are very small.

+ JUST RIGHT FOR A SMALL BEDROOM, FITS ON WALL BRACKET WITH FULL MANOUVERABILITY.

- HAVE TO SWITCH OFF BY SOCKET ???? NO SWITCH TO TURN OFF COMPLETELY.

- We found it difficult to set up but that may be because of the transmitter in the area (tv was bought for our caravan in the Isle of Wight). We had to get a tv engineer out to tune the tv in.

+ It works oerfectly and the tuning went like a dream, we just use it, not worry about it.

- It had to reboot the signal once, as has happened with other digital TVs or with freeview boxes.

+ For the price, wasn't expecting too much, but the picture quality far exceeds any expectations! Would be happy with the same picture qualty on a more expensive/bigger named screen.

- Sound can be tinny and thin at times, but again, at the price can't expect too much.

The TV Guide isn't that easy to see and changing channel not so speedy but if you want a second TV at low cost - this does what it says on the tin!
