I bought it because it had an iPod connection and inbuilt DVD player. An added bonus was that it also had Freeview. We use this model in our kitchen as well as in our caravan when on holiday.

The connecting cables, ie power, ariel, scart all stick out the side of the screen, making it slightly untidy looking. These connections could be angled slightly to avoid the problem.

Bit of a problem with the signal for Freeview, but thats to do with our area not the TV - check your signal strength first to see if you will be able to get Freeview.

Great functionality - particularly the ability to play music and videos from an iPod. Good picture quality with reasonable sound performance given the physical size of the speakers
-
Cable access is poor with the side access leading to very untidy wiring. Start up sequence is annoying as is the inability to switch off the screen display when using the radio. Also, there is an annoying "radio channel" display on continuously during the use of radio channels and a frequent update of chennel info when using tv.

Easy to set up. Having an ipod dock is superb as this allows you to use the tv to play movies and music from the ipod.

Looks a bit untidy having cable access points on the sides of the tv and not at the back. Basic controls are on top of the tv which can make them not so easily accessible if the tv is high up or wall mounted.

Great to use and great value too. Fab picture, easy menu's and TV guide. I-pod connection is superb and the sound is pretty good as well. Even the DVD / CD player works extremely well. At this money I wouldn't look anywhere else!
-
The on / off switch is clunky and cheap feeling. The power cable position would be nicer at the rear of the unit but its a small matter and doesn't have any real impact on what is a great buy.

• An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface)
Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second.

1
|

Plasma screens have historically boasted better contrast ratios than LCD screens.
|
