+ Easy to use

- A bit slow and definition is adequate but not good - so would not recommend it.

+ If you have the odd slide that you want to digitise it is fine but if you are trying to transfer a large number of slides (past holidays) the process is slow and tedious.

- The instructions are not very comprehensive and I am still learning how to get the best results; the picture tends to build up over a number of scans and it is difficult to judge when the optimum has been reached. Even if I use the highest resolution and quality settings the image is still inferior to the original slide or the equivalent digital camaera photograph.

+ Hardware easy to use, if a bit bulky. Quick enough for me at scanning - about a couple of seconds per picture.

- Software keeps causing Windows XP to freeze up. Results from colour negatives not too good - passable rather than good. Haven't tried it yet with black& white, which is what I actually bought it for.

+ Simple to use.

- The 35 mm slide carrier mechanism is a bit crude and has to be moved backwards and forwards to get the correct position.

+ Ease of use

- Tends to adjust to the white parts of slides to much causing them to look washed out and have no detail on lighter parts of the picture

+ Very fast scan and easily understood interface

- Poor results with very contrasted images - seems either too light or too dark in certain situations

+ Scans quickly.

- Most scans need digital manipulation and correction (colour, exposure). Needs original negatives to be in good condition.

+ Very simple to set up and use. It is also quick.

- Windows keep telling me that it is not Microsoft approved and might damage my software Takes only 35mm not 4x4 slides

+ Design and Price

- Software does'nt work work with Vista 64Bit or Vista 32Bit

+ Good quailty images and easy to use

- Slow at uploading pictures, and is very time consuming but when you compare that to paying for copies of slides and negatives it makes up for it

+ Very quick and user friendly

- Software (at time of purchasing - Nov 07) didn't work on vista so drivers etc had to be downloaded from the manufacturers website.

+ Very easy to use

- Very slow at transferring data

+ Easy to set up and use and good results from slides

- Software tends to overwrite othe better software, I find the Kodak software alot better to use

+ Straigtforward to use

- Slides are different depths & some are difficult to insert into scanner. Instructions for setting up software were unclear.
