+ Size of top and bottom oven. Quick and efficient. Cooks beautifully. Looks gorgeous.

- Lights in lower oven do not allow for use of oven shelf in second to top slot as they extend out too far.
Grill in top oven not as 'variable', as I was led to believe. Even with tray on lowest shelf it is sometimes too hot. Needs a lower setting for slow grilling.
Difficult to keep outside clean and gleaming.

+ The Rotostar Double Gas Oven is a very excellent product which is working well, it is fairly easy to understand, and I was delighted with the price.

- The lower oven is a little noisier that I had expected, but then the Rotostar system is something new to me and as this, for me, was a move from an Electric Oven to a Gas Oven, I had expected there would be a receipe book to help me understand the various temperatures for cooking. If I were able to offer a suggested improvement, it would be to make the reading on the front display a little larger.

Built-in machines have a cabinet door attached to the front of them so that they look like the rest of your kitchen. Freestanding machines can be seen and the machine can be placed in any position in your kitchen.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
Self Cleaning	None
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
