Sony Ericsson K770 Candy Bar 3G mobile phone handset reviews and tariffs

+ This phone looks good and is very easy to use. I would definately recommend it to a friend. My particular phone is Bronze in colour - this makes a lovely change from the usual black/silver. I mainly use the phone for calls, text, camera funtion and occasional internet use - i am satisfied with the phones performance on all of those fronts.

- Two minor negative points - 1. the call and end call buttons are fairly small. 2. The camera slider on the back of the phone can easily be slid opened and activated without intention.

+ Small and compact. Good clear screen.

- Very creaky plastic, sadly cheap looking compared to other sony ericssons I've had (this is my fifth). The camera/cybershot botton is located on the side of the phone and when I'm mid text I catch it which means I keep going to camera view. Having to keep switching back mid text can be annoying.

+ Phone is small, a good weight, not heavy but not too light, battery life is amazing, I charge mine about 10-15 mins every two days and it keeps it topped up. has a battery % meter, and only after it's on 1% for a long time does it eventually die. net browsing is a lot easier than expected, camera and light are very good, menu is customisable to a degree, texting is as easy as any other phone, the radio is fantastic, found more channels than my DAB radio.speakers are good quality and can be loud if you need them to. this is a great phone.

- only one, the camera lens can slip down quite easily, could be me, but there it is. dosent waste battery much though.

+ It is nice and light and small, looks cool, fab camera and very easy to use. Also looks up to date and didnt cost the earth!!! It came with some power in the battery fab idea, you dont have to wait till the next day to use your new phone!!

- Cant really think of any but its best to have an in-car charger and use it!!! saves charging it at home!! as it might show up on your bill!!

+ Very sleek, yet tough and durable facia. The menus are very easy to use and the software installed is up to date and very useful. A memory card is also supplied with the phone extending its storage facility.

- The battery life is not the best, but not the worst either. the slider for the camera lens could do with a lock as it comes open too easily.

+ I really like the camera on this as I have an new little in the house and the pictures are brilliant

- Can't think of any at the moment I've not had the phone long if anything I'd say that when I'm texting as I hold the phone sometimes my thumb catches the camera button and in the middle of texting all of a sudden I'm taking a picutre but that's me eing very picky as I can honestly say the phones fine :-)

+ Easy to use, gorgeous to look at. I had the k800i before and that feels so heavy and bulky compared to the k770i I love it can honestly say its the best phone i have owned so far.

- Battery life is a nightmare but I have found all SONY Ericssons to be the same. Apart from that I have nothing negative to say about the K770i. Its definately my phone of the moment :-)

- the camera doesnt zoom in any mode except video capture

+ its my first camera phone, with colour screen etc so its aptretty good all round at the moment

- the worst bit is the camera button that kicks in the camera when you press it, its position where you hold it when your texting, so it often goes into camera mode, a bit annoying. and there is no standard headphone jack supplied, i think you can buy 1, but why not just stick 1 on it or an adapter that comes with it!!

+ This phone is very practical for all day to day uses, I am glad that I purchased this phone.

- None really, but have been unable to download a game purchased from Game Mobile Uk.

+ Extremely compact and lightweight, but not lightweight on features.

- Keys are little too small.

- this is a replacement that I had to but as my previous model had a fault which was classed as accidental damage from being kept in a pocket - even though never kept in pocket! I hope that same thing doesn't happen again

- The Lock/Unlock combination is THE most annoying I have ever seen. 6 months on and i am still not used to it.

+ The camera on this phone is really good, even though its only 3.2mp the lighting of it is always very flattering. I really like the colour because it looks like a chocolate bar and its is so much more light than my previous phone! Because of it being light and slim it is easy to carry around in a pocket without a big bulge. Its got all the features you could possibly need and it very easy to use. And if you put a different memory card in it, it is an excellent phone for music. An all round good phone I think! And also very reasonably priced for what it can do.

- The only thing I don't like about it is that the hang up and end call buttons are really small so sometimes I press the wrong button.

+ Excellent picture quality from camera, easy menu navigation, very smart looking phone.

- Battery life isn't the best-seems to run out fairly quickly even with only occasional use of power hungry applications. In camera mode you can't use the zoom whilst taking pictures only when using the video. I knew this before buying but you don't realise how annoying it is until you start to use phone(probably because you're so used to even the most basic digital camera having at least 3 x optical zoom). Shortcut camera button on side of phone can be easily pressed by mistake whilst texting. All in all these are minor faults and I am very happy with this phone in general.

+ The camera is amazing, i have a 9month old daughter and as you can imagine take loads of pictures of her, we had brought a digital camera before she was born but this has recently broke and were going to buy a new one but have found the camera on this phone to be as good as any digital camera i have used so now just use that to take my pictures, and it so easy to the upload them to my comp and get them developed

- The only bad thing i can say about this phone is the game section, it came with loads of free trials which to be honest i wont play or even look at but, i cannot delete them which is annoying as they take up space

+ Photo quality is fine, getting used to a different type of phone is strange, but fun finding out things.

- At the moment, it seems that the battery life is bad. Considering I am not using the phone all the time yet, and just setting it up, I have had to charge it three times already.

+ Looks good, buttons aren't too small, screen quality and camera seem good.

- Software is sometimes slow although faster than other new sony ericssons i've tried.

+ Stylish, compact, easy to use.

- Battery life is disappointing. Design means camera button is often activated during texting!

+ Small enough to fit in pocket comfortably. Good software as it doesn't crash. Camera and video are fairly good quality for phone..

- Navigation could be slightly better and keys on the smaller side, but no significant problems.

- The camera button is on the side, so when texting it keeps flicking to camera mode and he have to go back and continue your message on a frequent basis.
Also downloaded music keeps disappearing even though its been saved.

+ Its size and clarity of display.

- Key pad is rather fiddly.

+ very nice on the eye... camera is really good! small and easily fits anywhere you want.

- battery isn't too good, needs to be charged every/every other day!

- Crashes if you get too many messages in your inbox so you can't make calls out and have to copy all your numbers onto your computer, restart the phone and put them all back in again. Also some features not easy to know how to use e.g. camera to send pics to friends not at all obvious, couldn't work it out. Bit of a fuss to navigate, but to be fair all phones are like that. The photo lens cover has started slipping open all the time

- If the smart looking Sony Ericsson K770i could be inproved, it would be a slide so that the screen could be longer for those of use who enjoy a wide screen for media playback, surfing the web and email functionability.

+ Easy to understand and clear screen. Sound ok but no way to alter volume when talking.

- Camera will not zoom in when you want a close up.....and too much light on the pictures....
when it is on auto.. Camera a disappointment.

+ The camera takes great pictures, its easy to use and is nice and compact. Much more accessible than previous phone and has much more memory capacity.

+ This phone is amazing, but the true wonder of this phone is it's screen....its the best screen i have EVER seen on a mobile device!

- Screen seems to spontaneously dim and brighten when writing a text message - a bit unusual. Buttons are a little too small for fingertips

- vibrates and makes sounds as if a message is coming in, randomly when there is no message coming in
