+ LoVe the design. The look and feel. The usability. The Panels are great. The fact that Google Maps works well. There are many good features. The Windows Media player is a nice experience. Teamed with an 8gb Card I use mine to make calls and write documents, run my accounts in Excel and watch dvds on the move. Can't complain. Bluetooth works well.

Battery life is extremely poor. The phone must be charged daily, so each night the phone is charged up. But then I guess I am using the thing.
No Video Out! In my opinon this is an oversight as the phone wold have benefitted fom this option to view images on an external monitor.
Poor on oboard speakers, which prevent the phone from being used as a proper speaker phone.

+ I wanted an all in one device that is compact, this one is perfect for my needs, i can organise and prioritise, email and surf on the go, i can write blogs with ease (with its sexy arc slide keyboard) on the move whenever i want, play games or listen to music/radio when i'm bored, i can even take pictures and movies if i so choose, i can find my way round now, i have gps!! The X1 is sooooo much more than just a phone, i'm sooo looking forward to the successors of this model.
- This is my first ever pocket pc phone, so the battery life was a complete shock to me, i'm slowly getting use to it however. With so many good features, the 3.2 megapixel camera just seems poor when it should have been at least 5 megapixel or above. The battery cover could do with a latch mechanism, rather than the current tension based, this means even a slight knock on the phone open can open the cover. Finally, it would be much nicer to have the screen flush with the case, the benefits would be two fold, first, the side scroll bars would be more easily accessible with the fingers/thumbs, second, cleaning the screen would be easier and the sides would be less prone to dust collecting.

+ This phone will do anything you want, looks great, the battery lasts ages and is easy to use
- You need to have expert eye sight as with the high resolution screen everything is tiny. Also I feel that the screen should be bigger so that you don't need to rely on the full keyboard. Other than that the phone is the best i've owned to date

Its like a mini computer and based on windows.
I like the panels system.
- I am having trouble fully syncronising it with my computer.

+ The phone looks good and is made from high quality materials
- Everything. This phone is awful. Simply because it runs windows mobile. If you have bought a windows mobile previously then dont expect any improvements. The same old clunky interface. The new "xperia panel" interface is really pointless and doesn't hide from the fact that you are running what feels like a very bad version of XP.

The panel system is quite good, allowing user to switch desktop.
Sound quality is OK, better than my previous one.
It is very clever for Sony Ericsson to give SPB Mobile Shell for free (or the handset would be almost unusable due to the silly Windows Mobile UI).
The FM radio is good.
-
Slide-out keyboard is almost useless, lots of keys missing, hard to press, brainless design.
Battery does not last for long, even when the phone is not in use.
Icons are tiny, hard to tap with fingers (fixed by SPB Mobile Shell).
Video playback is lagging.
Does not have a g-sensor; rotating screen is complex.
The switch-on splash screen is stupid (I am trying to get rid of it to make boot-up faster).

+ It has all options, MS Office, Gps, and a good software offer for windows mobile. The battery life is excellent, plus it can be charged through USB cable while synchronising with the computer.
- Well it's not like regular mobiles which can be handled with one hand, here both hands are required for manipulation, plus it's a bit heavy.

+ First time used this type of phone so bit tricky at first finding my way around as it's completely different to a normal mobile phone, but once I got into it found it very good and fairly easy to use. Bit worried about negative reviews at time of purchase but after using the phone for 3 weeks now am very pleased with it and have no issues or problems. Needed to refer to user instructions several times to find how to use certain features or settings but the more I use it the easier it becomes. Overall very satisfied with it.
- Need to refer to user instructions to find how to use certain features or settings which would be straight forward on normal mobile phone. Screen goes blank whilst in phone conversation which is a nuisance if you need to access key pad during call, unable to find a way of altering this action. Signal strength for receiving calls is not as good as previous SE phones I've owned.
