+ The design is excellent and the facility to download and view pictures is an additional benefit.

- The player corrupted/stuck on a number of occassions. As a result I had to let the battery run down completely before been able to restarting the player. I also encountered problems with the g sensor, the setting would reset/change and it would become extremly difficult to select tracks etc and reset the sensor.

+ Stores a considerable amount of music, graphics, and data files. Truly excellent sound (though lower maximum volume than a mini-disc). Useful remote control. Long battery life. Organisation of sounds by artist, album, genre, etc. Favourites list.

- No handbook. Navigation can be a little slow and eccentric (difficult to master) - minidisc is more nimble. Inbuilt battery - not user replaceable. Cannot readily move or edit tracks on board.

+ It has a large disk space (40G) which can be used as an external hard disk which is really good - i like the multifuntioning qualities - mp3 player, hard disk and photo storage all in one, relitivley small portable gaget that i can use for personal use and also to store data collected for work abroard in a fast and easy way - much quicker than ftp'ing!
software is easy to use also

- if one could charge it and use it for data transfer without having to carry round its dock that would be better! although battery life is good - it did take me a wee while to work out that i needed to lock the machine off otherwise it would switch on quite easily with movements in my luggage.
software - although easy to use - is quite cunning - and when i tried to put my music (transferred onto my pocket viao at home) onto my pc at work (so that i could drown out the noise of my noisy cohabitants in this wonderful open plan office so that i could get some work done)it wouldnt let me as it said i didnt own the music - so i would have to bring in my music, cd by cd to put on my work pc - which im not that happy about!
