+ It is good value for money and the picture quality is good, as is the design. Although I find it less easy to use than my previous recorder, it performs well.

- The information on screen is not as visible as it could be. It seems to be less easy to edit recorded programmes than my previous recorder (which was a Phillips but more expensive).

+ It's a Sony - quality of product and value for money.

- Instructions a little confusing, had to flick to back of book to see how to connect to SKY decoder and i'd have thought most people have more than just a standard aerial socket into their TV's by now. Could've done with Disc size viewed in minutes as well as hours to allow quick recording at best qualities.
