+ Easy to set up. Auto calibration. Tiny speakers. Good connectivity. Very good sound effects.

- Only average with music so wouldn't replace a good hi-fi.

+ good overall sound and the remote control works for dvd, tv and blu ray. easy to set up

- the subwoofer has to be tipped up every time something is connected and the display is difficult to see as it is on the top

+ Works seamlessly with my Sony HDTV and Blue Ray Player, as well as the V+ box and iPod (needs additional Dock). Looks fantastic and the speakers are unbelievable considering their size.

- Music quality not as good as my old HiFi seperates.

+ Good surround sound with small unobtrusive speakers which are much better accepted by our female counterparts!

- Cables plug into base of subwoofer/amp rather than the back, which makes access to these a little difficult.

+ Very easy to set up. Works beautifully with my other Sony equipment. The speakers are very discreet. Works well with my iPod (needs additional dock).

- Sound not as good as my hifi for music play back, but really not significantly so.

+ 4 hdmi enabled products can be connected to this system with only one output to the t.v

- the connections are underneath the sub-woofer unit so you have to turn it on it's front to connect your leads also when speech is output it sounds a bit tinny

- Remote control doesn't operate fully. Also system starts up by muting itself!

+ Tiny speakers are discreet but create a lot of sound.
Set up was quite easy due to supplied mike.
Quite a few sound modes

- Display is on top of the sub rather than the front so you have to walk over to it to see mode.
Standby function only works with other Sony products or is always on.
HDMI switch only works when sub is on, rather than having a pass through function.

+ Tiny Wife freindly speakers .sounds good with films

- It would be good to have on TV screen display

- A bit expensive

+ Compact speakers, rich sound. Easy to set up and locate speakers.

- Can only play TV signal sound through an optical input from TV - but my Plasma doesn't have an optical out!
