+ Excellent picture quality with HDMI upscaling, have not tried it with SCART yet.

+ Multi-format. Excellent up-scaling performance. Highly-intuitive menus/controls. Good range of features.

- Needs very clean DVDs - sensitive to scratches, fingermarks. Not always easy to manage CD playback. Not a brilliant remote.

+ Multi-Region out of the box, DIVX playback is crystal clear and the upscaling is a feast for the eyes at this price.

+ Reasonably priced and plays all region DVDs that I've tried without fault. Sound reproduction is good through digital output.

- Upon close inspection the image does show up marked lines/blocky patches at the edges of objects. These weren't present when played through my previous played. Overall though it was good value and performs very well.
