Excellent DVD Player, fairly easy to use, robust and of course, Sony come up trumps with me every time. A MASSIVE 5hrs playback time maybe a little optomistic, but its far longer than many other players, ideal for flights which is why I bought it. Very good value for money and from a good supplier.

A great product, would certainly recommend. I decided to purchase a portable DVD player to take on holiday for my two children. It was worth its weight in gold! we had a flight delay of 2 hours, but the kids were more than happy sitting and watching their films! This player has a long battery charge, enough for 2 films ( some cheaper models would not have enough battery life for one full film!) Also the model has 2 headphone points so the kids could both have their own set to listen in comfort. The design is small,sleek and looks great, the picture quality is amazing!

The picture quality is exceptional. Great neat design. It plays dvix files. It will read files that my other make of dvd player won't. It has a usb port for mp3 files. All the controls are on the player - you don't have to rely on the remote control. It has a good battery life with no memory and it fits nicely underneath. All in all it is excellent Sony quality!

It takes quite a long time to load a disc that has more than one dvd film on and a long time to load dvix files.

It is great to know that the battery will last 5 hours especially if you are using it like us; to keep bored kids happy on a long journey! It is compact with great quality images. We love it and think it offer great value for money.

Initially it does feel heavy but when you compare it to others on the market at a similar price it's hard to beat. The maximum volume could do with being higher.

Stylish, great quality portable DVD Player. Really good picture and so easy to use that even I didn't have to look at the instruction manual !! Not too heavy to carry in hand luggage if taking on board an aircraft. Once fully charged it lasts at least 5 hours before needing charging again, which is fantastic. Not at all flimsy - so sturdy a screen that I am happy to let my 2 year old carefully handle it.

Only negative is the volume of the sound. I tend to have it on the maximum level and my hearing is fine. You definitely need headphones/earphones on board an aircraft.

Very good quality, solid and toughly built. Looks good and the picture quality is top notch. Screen size was smaller than I initially wanted but the screen quality makes up for it. Hold button very helpful when used for my 2 yr old...she loves buttons! Battery life fantastic...up to 5 hrs.

The product is very easy to use and was purchased for our 20 month old daughter to keep her entertained on a nine hour flight. The battery life is 5 hours long which is one of the longest we were able to find. The player is compact and very stylish.

The long battery life is excellent, its a stylish design, feels hard-wearing yet is not too heavy or bulky, plays DVDs quickly without long 'Reading' pauses at the start of the DVD, remote control is easy to use and is in similar layout to a normal DVD player remote.

It's fantastic, my daughter absolutely loves it. The picture quality is amazing and it kept my daughter quiet the entire journey to Bournemouth (almost 3hrs). Looking forward to taking it on the plane in the summer!

My youngest was in need of a third replacement portable DVD for our up & coming holiday. On the prevoius two players, one packed up altogether, the second one the battery compartment only went and I could not get a replacement, so this time I decided to read plenty of reviews. This one came recommended for it's 5 hour play from the battery and good picture quality. We have not yet needed a full five hours, but it does seem to way out last previous cheaper players, and the picture and sound quality is excellant. So far so good, I hope paying the extra will be worth it in the long run.

I found the on/off switch on the side (does not look like a power button) took some getting used to, & often wondered if I had turned it off properly to start with, although I'm okay with it now. I really cannot say anything else bad about it.

This Sony player has a 5 hour Battery life which means you can get two films out of it, my previous DVD player only had 2 hours battery life before needing charged. It comes with an in car charger which is a must.
The screen quality is great for being such a small player. The volume is good through ear phones but isn't the loudest through the speakers but is adequate providing you're not to far from the player - I think this is seems to be standard with all portable dvd players. The White lid makes it look like an expensive player. The battery sits under the player out of the way rather then at the back of it.

In addition to all the good things that other owners have remarked upon, it makes a very good fist of being a DVD player to a big-screen tv- and you can leave the (undeniably slim) battery off for this.
