+ Good looking easy to use machine.With the different sound setting actually making a difference.
Calibrating the surround sound also made a difference.Sounds great for films,sport etc

- Only let down being the speakers when you are playing a cd,not quite got enough umphhhhh!

+ Good sound and the upscaling DVD player gives a greater picture on my 40in LCD TV.

- Even with wireless rear speakers there are a lot of wires and additional control boxes to operate infared connection to rear speakers. Rear speakers can be hard wired if required. Speaker stands are quite bulky.

- None that I can see, other than that the surround sound effect does not work with the TV alone. Not that that is Sony's fault.

- setting up although not difficult a bit technical especially for someone like myself who thinks a woofer is a dog.

+ Having the wireless speakers did prevent lots of wiring from the main unit. Although they still require wiring back to a power source.

- Small speakers (part of the wirelss set up) have to be wall mounted and would be far better offered on stands

+ looked complicated at first but instructions were easy to follow and it was fully installed within a couple of hours (under an hour for anyone else)
