- CD door opens upwards on the top, would be better to slide out of the unit

+ Pleasing design with an overall good balanced sound. The neat speakers blend well in to most home locations. The reception on DAB and FM radio is particulary good.

- I use this product in my bedroom during the night, and find that the remote control for changing the radio programmes is difficult to use, without switching on a bedside light to visually look at the very small buttons. The buttons do not appear to run in a logical and easy to locate sequence, making it difficult to operate. This Sony replaced a Aiwa which had an excellent remote control for my purpose.

+ This system does everything I want it to do. It's easy to set up, plays MP3 CD's (great for modern audio books) and picks up many DAB stations even though I had been anticipating problems in this area. The tape player is a great bonus.

- you have to be quite close for the remote control to work if you're not directly in front of the stereo.

+ I bought this product whilst it was on offer therefore it was good value for money. It's compact and useful as a bedroom hi-fi system.

- The product could be improved by enlarging the clock display and it's annoying that the time is not visible whilst the unit is in standby mode.
It's also irritating that the wires leading to the speakers are so short. I had to keep the speakers close to the main unit rather than being able to place them around the room.

- The Light on the screen not very power ful you can not see the screen properly if the unit is on a higher shelf.

+ For the price, this is a great bit of kit, and does what we wanted for personal use. Good controls, easy to use, and good sound. Looks good too.

+ Audio in, good for mp3 player, T.V, turntable etc. Up and running within a few minuts of receiving it. Sound is very good especially considering the speaker size. Don't know about DAB quality as it is not yet available in my area. Cassette function is good for those of us who still have loads of them! Remote control is fully functional apart from not operating the cassette player/recorder. At the online price this is exceptional value for money

+ Compact Size, One of the few Micro systems on the market which has a Tape Player. Easy to set-up, Good reception on DAB.

- Remote control a bit fiddly, Tape player buttons should have their function symbols highlighted in a different colour i.e. Silver. Sound quality not as good as a small "Pure" mono DAB radio that I use.
