Sony Bravia KDL40V4000 Reviews: Bravia, 40" Screen LCD Full HD 1080p TV

+ The size is just right for my room - I love it!

- Attaching the TV to the stand wasn't quite as straightforward as I'd hoped. I bit difficult to put together with only one adult in the house and two young children! My teenage daughter came to the rescue.

+ great quality picture and sound, good value and great looking product.

- no bad points as yet!

+ easy set up good all round facillitys

- remote control takes time to become user friendly

+ excelent quality styling, good quality picture with useful size options

- significant crosstalk from digital channel when using AV input (ie Sky) even at low volume .
general sound quality mediocre and options dissappionting.
PIP option woud be improved by size adjustment .

+ This is a beautiful looking set, especially when wall mounted. Picture and sound quality are excellent but to get the most out of this tv a Playstation 3 is a must.

- Having a black frame means it needs cleaning every day. Thats it, nothing bad about this tv really.

+ I like the design. The picture and sound qualilty are far superior than my old Sony Wega TV and the unit it self doesn't weigh half as much, therefore saving breaking my back everytime the wife wanted the TV moved.

+ Been looking for a LCD TV for many months, came by this model by chance and am really pleased I did. That impressed I recommended it to another member of my family eho immediately placed an order themselves,

+ design excellent for all round viewing, with the ability for tv to pivot. sound quality is excellent on the tv, even better when played though home theatre system.

- Only thing i can think of is the tilt mechanism on the tv haven't quit worked how to get set to tilt back slightly to alter the viewing angle

+ Excellent quality Sony product for a very reasonable price. I did a lot of research before buying this tv - very tempted with Panasonic plasmas and LCDs but at the end of the day it came down to the best product for the best price - this is it.

- Although this is supposed to be one of the best (along with Panasonic) for sound quality I think the sound is disappointing - but this is a problem with all flat panel LCDs. Hook it up to decent external speakers and its great!

+ i searched on net 2 months before i made my mind up i picked the right one ,dont no why so many bad points on the sound found if its set correctly its fine,could add speakers if you want to blow your head off,my dad got the samsung series 5 no where near as good.

- if you sit to close picture can be blocky,but whos going to sit anything less than 6ft anyway.

+ Excellent picture from an HD source, my PS3 looks amazing and playing Blu Ray under theatre mode looks great.Really good blacks, no motion blur when watching football or playing games and plenty of conectivity options.

- Non HD picture looks a little drab, takes a while to set up picture to an ideal level, not tried freeview as I have sky.
