Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 ZA SSM Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Zoom Lens

+ Very fast focus very sharp images works well on flight shots

- A bit expensive

+ Excellent reach and image quality at reasonable price. I often prefer images from this lens to those taken with 16-80 Zeiss (within the overlapping 70-80 focal length).
The SSM focusing is a joy to use, silent in operation, and you can always fine-tune focus by just turning the focusing ring.

- Build quality is even better than that of 16-80 Zeiss (and obviously that of the kit lenses), but this lens is not full metal construction (which means much nicer weight). But it also means that it cannot be compared to something like the beercan.

+ Fast focus, Crystal sharp images, not too heavy

- Only a couple of times, Chromatic aberations, but very minimal.

+ Image sharpness and contrast.

- Rather heavy, but to be expecetd for this type of lense! Otherwise, nothing to fault it.

- BIT EXPENSIVE - BOUGHT FROM SIMPLYELECTRONICS FOR ABOUT £350 CHEAPER THAN NORMAL YOU DO HAVE TO WAIT THE FULL 10DAYS THOUGH .. BUT IF YOU ARE NOT IN A HURRY ITS FINE
