Smeg DI612 Reviews: Built-in, 59.6cm wide, Black Dishwasher

+ Quick and easy to use

- no bad points

+ Easy to use switches, cleans well and quickly. The light setting (number 2) performs really well.

- Flimsy cutlery baskets.

+ Washes very well, two basket for cutlery, is great value

- Food get trapped under door seal at bottom, isn't as quite as claimed (but great for price range)

+ Appears to wash very well and had a good loading capacity

- Its noisey

- The racks to not lend thmselves well to laoding. It cannot be loaded as efficiently as our previous Whirlpool

+ Looks good and is very quiet in operation. Cleans much better than my previous dishwaher (Diplomat).

- When fitting, the adjustable feet did not go high enough to enable it to fit under the worktop. However, I was able to use the adjustable feet from the old dishwasher in order to make it fit.

+ It's quiet for the price.

- Fitting it wasn't made any easier by the fact that it came with a moulded plug. Why does an integrated appliance have a moulded plug when you have to feed the cable and pipes through drilled holes in cupboards. I had to cut the plug off, throw it away and buy a new one. Also the adjustable legs were difficult to turn and weren't long enough. If you switch it off before it's finished, it's not obvious how to reset the program (I think you have to choose a different wash).

+ Very easy to install, particularly the door frontage. Cleaning performance is excellant. I previously had a Whirlpool and the SMEG beats it hands down. Normal cycle is timed right and it's not too noisey either. I did do some research prior to purchase (Due to problems i had with my previous appliance) and i have to admit that it was worth the time and effort.

- Appears slightly smaller inside and takes a bit of getting used to the way of loading, but eventually you find the best way. Found it weird that i have to tilt the top basket on different settings, so that it makes room down below for my dinner plates (Which are not too large), however once again it's something you get used to. I have bought it to clean and that's what it does, so i can't complain.

- The beep at the end of the wash cycle freeks you out if you put the dishwasher on over night!

+ as it is fully intergrated it fits in with kitchen

+ Quiet machine, dishes very clean.

- Loading takes some getting used too due to knives being on the top and not in the cutlery basket but you can load a lot of dishes.

+ Quiet as I have an open plan house. Good cleaning, but can leave some dirt with large pans. Easy to install and select programmes.

- Top tray can only be raised on Left hand side. Drying could be better, often need to use a teat towel before storing in cupboards.

- the layout of the spokes both up and down is very badly designed. the cutlery holder doesnt fit into each other properly or in the dishwasher properly either. the variations of washing options is poor and even when it goes on the longest wash (which takes far far to long) everthing still comes out wet! a poor machine which i would not buy again.

+ Not noisy. Cleans ok

- Traps powder at base of door during cycle which then has to be cleaned off by hand when door is opened to stop it building up. Top basket has too many gadgets thus making it hard to be able to use the basket efficiently.
No real quick wash like my old one which had a 30 mins cycle that we used all the time.
Not so good at drying.

+ Cleaning is excellent and was surprised at how quiet it is compared to my old SMEG machine. Prefer the layout of the top rack compared to my old machine as well

- Cutlery baskets fall over and the layout of the bottom rack is difficult for saucepans
