+ Larger Screen Size is excellent. Having just the one Dedicated battery is excellent and it really does last a long time.
- Although The SD14 does have more Mega pixels, it is no where near as good or as well made a camera as the SD9, in my Humble opinion.

The camera takes extremely sharp and detailed pictures,it is also easy to operate.
It comes with a very good if slow raw editing program that only lacks a dust removal tool I hope this will be added to the spp3-1.
The shutter is very smooth ,I do not see a reason to complicate the camera by adding in camera j peg as this can easily be done using software and to get the best from the camera you should shoot in raw
- The camera should have had a removable as per sd10,also the eye piece could have protruded further.

+ Takes great pictures....when you get it right
- Some knowledge of digital photography required
purchased 29 Dec 2007
+ Easy to use, well built, large files, sync socket built into camera body
-
VERY POOR colour re-production, splodgey shapes appear in solid colours even on finest quality and RAW.
This is why I had to return the camera and why I would never reccommend it to a friend, good price, large files, all ruiend by poor quality images.

+ Fantastic image quality if you are prepared to persevere with understanding the camera and the RAW developer supplied with it.
- Ergonomics are probably not as sophisticated as those from other manufacturers.

+ Exceptional build quality, colour & sharpness excellent, unfussed straightforward controls-the nearest a digital SLR comes to a 1970's film SLR [technology not overdone].
- Noise issue above ISO 400.

+ Image and simplicity of operation.
- Battery life and a few teething problems. These will be resolved shortly though. I knew this camera was very basic and purchased it for the image quality so I've marked it down on features for other peoples benefit. It's not a point and shoot camera. It's an enthusiasts camera.

+ Excellent picture quality.Easy to use. Good battery life. Great value for money. This camera fits beautifully in the hand and feels strong and sturdy.
- You need to take care when inserting flash card as it's easy to fit it the wrong way about thus making it difficult to remove again.

Image quality, results are consistently amazing.
Sturdy build quality, you know you're holding it and it doesn't feel like it's going to break any time soon!
Overall a great camera.
-
Sigma SA lens mount, sadly it makes it a little difficult to get cut price lenses to fit the SD14 like you can for other makes.
Now RAW+JPEG, you have to pick one or the other.
