+ Just what we wanted, a large microwave with combination grill and oven

- A previous very similar model packed in after three years so took extended warranty this time

+ Large capacity, multifunctional, ease of use.

- No real bad points but removing the self adhesive protective plastic skin from the outer stainless case was difficult in places as it went into casing joints and behind fixings.

+ Very handy appliance. I use it nearly everyday. Great for cooking for fewer people.

+ Stylish microwave oven with large capacity and able to cook a variety of different foods.

- The control keypad is a grey colour which makes it hard to view the menus and lettering.

+ Size, plenty of room to cook large items. Cooked 2 small loaves of bread and they came out perfect. Hopefully this is going to save me some electric, instead of using my big electric oven.

- Instruction book, need to read it a few times, and a good multi cook recipe book required, to make more use of the cooker. Warning, if you have children, the outside gets very hot.

- Hard to read control panel, black writing on dark grey background plus shiny surface. This means you have to bend down to get your eyes level with the control panel so it can be read.

+ Good size and fairly easy controls.

- Setting the time is not so straight forward but if you follow the instructions in the user manual you can usuaully work it out.

+ Does exactly what was expected

- A little more noisy than the one it replaced (which had blown up after 14 months!!)

+ We had had the previous model, so working it was simple. A great combination oven, microwave and grill (as was the last one). Fantastic 40 litre capacity.

+ This is a large oven that is capable of handling a Sunday roast, it's micro wave power settings are extremely flexible and it convection oven has no problem browning meat or grilling sausages. This is the 2nd one we have had the 1st one lasted 8 years and the improvements are subtle but worthwhile.

- On previous identical Sharp model, the LCD display failed and could not be repaired.

+ Fast heating up, easy to use, very clear (apart from setting the time) instruction manual. Comprehensive recipe book. Following their instructions on cleaning, using half a lemon in a bowl of water, makes cleaning easy.

- The slide in shelves. You have to turn cakes half way through cooking. This defeats the object, as cakes may collapse. Using the lower round rack produces just as good results.

+ use it as an oven, easy to clean. does great jacket potatoes. very versatile.

+ The large capacity is great. The width of the oven means it increases what containers I can use. The turntable is superior to other microwaves I have had. The internal light and mesh door mean I can easily see better what I am cooking and how it is progressing.

- Some program'd features are more fiddly than my previous Sanyo MW, for example cooking baked potato was much easier.

+ This is the third sharp oven we have purchased and we have been totally happy apart from the point below, we never use our main oven since we stoped buying full turkeys as the crown we now have fits in as well as the legs of lamb etc, it is easy to keep clean and uses less power than an ordinary oven.

- Chrome stands are unstable with small feet, have had two accidents resulting in bowls of soup going over floor please design better and let us know we will certainly buy

+ Large capacity. Fairly powerful. Quite easy to use.

- As it has a large capacity it ought to have a longer maximum cooking time and not have to be manually re-timed after 90 mins.
The interior light filament is difficult to gain access to as it requires the complete removal of the cover.
The control indicators are difficult to see in poor light and are not touch friendly to someone with restricted eye sight. They should be raised from the surface.

+ Having owned microwaves since their invention I do not find this model to have any particular good points

- I purchased the stainless steel version because I was advised that that was the only larger model made. I and other members of my family find the operating panel very difficult to see and read. My other microwaves have been white finished and the panel is then very clear. Suggestion in future finish the operating panel in another substance. Try a factory test with personnel who wear glasses or are older.

- A bit noisy when using convection feature.

+ We werent disappointed with our choice.

- The microwave rmains 'ON' when the door is left open. The bulb gets really hot. You only have to touch the top of the microwave to realise how hot the buld can get. Not sure if the bulb would 'POP' if the door is left open for too long.

- Limited kitchen timer. Door feels a little flimsy. Instructions for built in kit were,nt the easiest to follow.

+ 1. Two convection oven shelves which slide in like in a normal oven
2. Huge ceramic turntable never 'derails' (i ditched my Panasonic because of this problem) and is very easy to clean.
3. Completely reliable
4. Automatic programs are accurate.
5. The convection oven warms up very quickly - much faster than a conventional oven and faster than the Panasonic.
6. Cooking on low temperatures (40 C) on convection setting.

- Timer only goes up to 99 minutes. This is not good when using the convection oven alone. Once you have set the time, you can't extend it while it is cooking (you can of course start again and set the timer for the remaining time, but this involves going through the very fierce preheat cycle again which, although is not lengthy when the oven is still warm, is a little inconvenient. Having said this, this is a limitation I am prepared to accept because it is an excellent piece of equipment in all other respects.

+ Having bought a Sharp Carosel Combi Cooker almost 25 years ago, and used it almost every day. I knew Sharp to be a quality product, so had no hesitation in buying a replacement when mine started to fail. I was shocked to discover the new Cooker cost less than my original did all those years ago, and had a bigger capacity, plus many other time saving features. I am still getting to know my cooker, and am daily surprised at the things it does at the touch of a button. I still have not found the 'magic' button that automatically cleans the oven, washes the dishes and pops them back in the cupboard they came from yet, but I feel sure it is there if I look hard enough.

- Have not discovered any as yet, but will not be too dissapointed if the 'magic' button mentioned above does not materialise.
