Sharp LC19SH7E Reviews: Aquos LCD HD Ready TV

+ Bought this as a replacement for a CRT in the bedroom. Obvious benefits in comparison over size and design but this is a good tv with adequate connections for either a kitchen or bedroom. The screen offers a good viewing angle and is very clear. The audio is effective for a tv of this size and like image has a range of factory presets as well as the option to tweak to personal preference. The remote control is well laid out and simple to use as well. One of the best features for me is the very low standby power consumption but also the fact that you can turn off the power unlike some manufacturers. Finally the standard 3yr warranty is a positive of course!

- No major concerns to date (2 weeks). If I have to be pedantic the EPG covers the screen and stops you being able to watch a programme while looking at what's on. If you check the EPG for other channels it changes the programme to that channel! If this was your main tv I would find this very irritating! I did have one dead pixel but this appears to have cured itself. Finally have had 2 occasions where turning on from standyby the image did not appear. This did rectify itself when I turned off and on again. Hope this does not increase and become more frequent!

+ Superb design and good picture quality.

- Sound quality no where near as good as expected even with the "so called" surround sound, Constantly sounds hollow and echoy.

+ Good, Cheap 'Bedroom' tele.

- Guide is poor - only shows information for channel watching..... you have to change channel view the guide for that channel.

- was not aware where the channel guide was, found it was under EPG???and not lablled simply 'GUIDE'

+ Picture quality & ease of set up

- Unable to tilt screen to differing positions

+ Easy to set-up. Sound not as bad as other reviews have suggested.

- A good second room tv but probably too small for the averaged-sized bedroom. More of a kitchen tv. Not so good with DVDs in letterbox format.

+ Neat, easy to use perfect for the bedroom
