Sebo Automatic X4 Extra Reviews: , Upright, Bagged Vacuum cleaner

+ Good pick up. Cleans well. Easy to push. Long cable. No messy emptying. Can be used on different surfaces.

- Handle tools not as convenient as the Dyson (where the tool can be left on the handle for immediate use). You have to keep taking the chosen tool on and off in order to put the handle back into its slot.
Nowhere to store the in-use extention hose when wanting to use the cleaner upright as well. You either have to put it on and off or go round rooms once with the hose on and once with it off. With the extension hose off, the cleaner can topple when using the hand tools

+ Very robust. I had one before for over 20 years and it never needed any repairs or gave any problems. I find it easy to use and of an excellent design. Fit for function.

+ Quality of build, exceptional design. We ordered this for our daughter, who had always bought 'cheap' vacuum cleaners and was repeatedly having to get them repaired or replaced. We have had the same model for many years, and they are faultless.

- More expensive than your average machine, but here you are definitely getting your moneys worth - as opposed to some other well promoted 'colourful' machines!!!

+ I had my last sebo vacum cleaner for 14 years and was very happy with it, until the motor went. I have 3 children and 3 dogs so it has worked hard. Having gone through may cleaners in the past I would and have recommended it to many friends, some of which have bought.

Hose is a bit fiddly when using the nozzle for crevice cleaning - best attaching the extended hose.

+ Very easy to use. Not too heavy. Cleans well and to the edges.

- Cleaning the stairs are a bit more difficult as pipe does not extend very far.

+ Very good suction, easy to use. Long cable so less changing sockets. All tools neatly stacked onboard and easy to go from upright on floors to hand tools on furniture.

- Only bad point found is that it easily tips over when using the hand tools option.

+ Compact, stable, access to roller/brush is easy, publicity and marketing information is all accurate - it does what it says on the box.

- careOver 60less initial assembly or carrying the cleaner with its handle can cause intermittent faults ( switching off and error lights showing) as a result of badly made electrical contacts between the main body( or handle)and the motor/brish floor unit.
Solved by followng suggestions in handbook for remedying faults. - pushing down body or handle to make firm connection

+ I have only had this for 1 month but having had Dyson's and other vacuum cleaners in the past this is by far the best. It is easy to push around and the way the onboard computer raises or lowers it depending on what floors you are cleaning is brilliant. I have cats, so a lot of fur aound which it hoovers up easily. The 9m cord is one of the best features as you can hoover most areas in one go. It has great brushes and isn't too noisy.

+ it is light easy to push the hand held hose is easy to use it picks up dog and cat hairs easily unlike most hovers it is the best hover i have ever used.

- the hose needs to be longer as the hover falls over if you are trying to hover cobwebs of the walls and celing and the t shaped atachment gets blocked up to quickly.

+ Sturdy construction with no gimmicks. The extended hose means I can vacuum a long flight of stairs with the vacuum safely at the bottom of the stairs instead of trying to balance it on the stairs as I go up.

All in all, a bit disapointing for the price paid.

+ It is a fantastic vacumn cleaner, that does what it is supposed to; suck up dirt. It is very easy to use and you can actually see where you have cleaned it sucks the carpet that well. It is lightish to push around and the extra length hose is great.

+ Efficient and versatile, particularly to reaching under low surfaces. Replacement parts available and easy to fit. The two year warranty is also useful too. Strectchable extension hoses make the cleaner quite practical. Previous owner of a Sebo X1 and still going strong.

+ It is a "proper" vacuum cleaner! It is easy to use, hose attachment & brushes are well designed and practical. I don't have to change to the cylinder from the upright vacuum - it's an all inclusive cleaning machine!!

- Has a tendancy to fall over when the hose is being stretched but I can live with this!
