Samsung UE40B6000 Reviews: Series 6, 40" Screen LED Full HD 1080p TV

+ Best television picture I have ever seen. Incredibly slim and looks great. Lots of options for tweaking to get a picture you're happy with. (Best to turn backlight down to 5 as factory settings very bright and hurt your eyes.)

- Requires 2 people to fit onto stand.

+ Unbelievable picture quality, no comparison with lcd tvs, depth of field, colours, contracts will blow you away, life like picture quality which gives you the impression that your watching a 3d picture.
Connecting cameras and various other devices is a dodle via the usb connection, easy to use tv, all the controls and menus make perfect sense. Don't waste your money on lesser tv's, well workth the extra money.

- Sonund quality is poor, but not an issue as i use a surround sound system

+ Easy installation and setup. Much lighter to handle than standard LCD sets. Auto-install and User menu easy to use. Excellent looking TV and brilliant picture with the LED backlight - black is really black compared with normal LCD fluorescent backlit sets. Full HD picture is amazing.

- Sound quality is lacking fullness and bass, compared with other makes e.g. Sony. 'Tru-surround' feature is not very effective. This does not bother me particularly since I switch off the sound and use a home cinema surround sound system.

+ The picture quality is fantastic, so colourful and so clear even normal TV programs are a lot better quality picture.

- None.

+ Extremely slim and light, so quick and easy to hang if you also purchase the Samsung WMN1000B Ultra Slim Wall Mount

- Not over impressed by the sound quality, may also need to invest in surround sound equipment.

+ Picture quality,LED technology therefore cost effective to run compared to other TVs. Clear instructions on setting up and tuning into stations.HDMI conections enable me to get the best from other equipment conected to the TV.

+ Product is excellent the picture quality is great and to get the best from it we have SkyHD. I recommend you spend time setting it up and reading the instructions and the Samsung on-line team are very helpful if you need further assistance.

- Only bad point which we already knew from reviews is the sound quality. Watching any normal TV programme is fine for what you need in your living room, but recommend a surround sound for movies and Sport to get the best from the TV. The 7 series is all you need if you are not interested with linking directly up to the internet as series 8 9 can be matched with series 7 so don't rush out to buy the most expensive one!!

+ Absolutely stunning colours and brightness from the TV, blows the old LCD and plasmas out of the water.

- Does have a small issue with nearly all black screens i.e. credits, where white appears grey. This is annoying but at the same time, any screen that's nearly all black doesn't have much to see, and so the issue doesnt affect any images that look impressive

+ 1. Exceptional picture quality and colour depth. The best picture quality from comparable mass-market products (even Panasonic). I have given it 9/10 for image quality simply because better professional products exist (but they are £1000s more expensive). 2. Extremely slim and light - hangs on a wall like a picture frame 3. Slick beautiful design - a pleasure to look at even when not switched on

- 1. Sound quality is indifferent. This is hardly surprising given how thin the TV profile is (there is simply no space for decent speakers). The retailer site honestly described this, so there were no surprises - the TV was bought as part of a Home Cinema with dedicated external amplifier/speakers, so it is permanently set to Mute. 2. The mounting points are non-standard (both layout and type of screws used) - be aware of this when choosing a mounting bracket. Nothing which cannot be fixed with a power drill and a set of custom screws purchased at the nearest B&Q

- Not good sound as picture

+ Picture quality even with SD input and anti-glare qualities in a bright room.

- Sound/speaker quality does not match the advancement in picture.

+ Marvelous picture quality with LED. Sound had been reviewed elsewhere as poor, but it does depend on your room size as we have no problem with this.

- Cost is prohibitive at present
