Excellent picture quality, even with standard-def sources (e.g. freeview); clear image resolution with particularly good black levels (far superior to CCFL back-lit LCD equivalent); design and aesthetics are nigh on perfect - well done Samsung!
-
Sound from TV's internal speakers is not great - would advise using a surround sound system; price - premium for latest LED back-light technology but definitely worth the investment.

Slim, sleek design. Looks fantastic. Plenty of options to attach other input devices including computers and slot in memory cards and USB devices.
-
Sound quality is average. Although several options are available depending viewing selection, the sound has no apparent bass. A surround sound device is essential to enhance the experience. I was disappointed that the USB input does not support video or Ipod devices.

The picture quality is excellent even in normal non-HD digital.
-
The sound quality could be better; it would have been better to position the speakers facing the viewer. The HD quality picture was not as good as I had expected, the normal non-HD picture is so good that it is often difficult to tell the difference. It would have been better to provide an easy to get at on/off power switch so as to save power when the set is not in use.

Design was important when we purchased this product, we had newly redecorated our main sitting room and with its contemporary look and feel it blended well with the straight lines of other features.
we do particularly like the energy feature, telling us when the tv was using less energy to power.
That as been a good selling point to others amongst our family and friends, more than a few have passed comment of its usefulness
-
Only one point really after spending a considerable about on the Tv we still had to purchase a lead to get it to work at the optimum recommended picture quality level of 1080. But other than that the tv is great.
Especially when you consider its our third tv we've ever brought.

Brilliant!!! Picture can be seen clearly from anywhere in the room unlike most LCD's - the picture quality is fantastic and the product is minutely thin!
-
Only downside is that the sound warbles slightly when played above level 75 - not that I would ever put the volume the high....but I've got three teenagers!

Only one scart plug. Sound a bit disappointing. Other slight niggle is that picture fades to black when image is dark on screen but can be altered by taking off dynamic contrast..

It looks good even when it is turned off. The picture quality is great and setting it up was child's play.

Being so slim and elegant does not allow for any decent sized speakers therefore the sound quality suffers, however this is not a problem once it is connected to a home cinema system.

The Vesa mounting screws are to short to mount a wall fixing plate, possibly to encourage you to buy the Samsung wall mount which would be fine if it was easily available and a reasonable price. You will need four longer screws to fit a slim wall bracket which I picked up for less than £20.

The fittings are difficult to assemble and in particular the scart adaptor is ridiculously small!!! Ours has already broke from its fitting whch is poorly positioned vertically in the back of the TV. An absolutely ridiculous designed adptor lead of about 3 inches - honestly it's preposterous to use.
The sound of the advertisements is too loud and we cannot find out how to adjust the sound levels so that we are constantly not bombarded with the louder noise of adverts. We usually have to mute the TV during adverts.

The clarity of the LED is fantastic compared to our old regular style flat screen tv and of course because of the advanced technology it is 40% more efficient. We chose a 32" for our small to medium sized living room and this is plenty big enough, although I guess this is personal preference. The cost was a contributing factor and I would say this is excellent value for money.
-
1. The 2" plastic frame at the top of the tv has 2 dimples which of course reflect in the light. On checking the tv we noticed it was where the screws afix the back section to the front. I felt very disappointed and was going to return the tv as faulty, instead I checked the same model Samsungs in store. And YES they are all the same. I came to the conclusion that it must be because of the slimness of the tv and the materials used. 2 On non HD channels the volume is quite poor compared to HD channels but we use ours with external speakers and it's great. 3. The manual is bulky and complicated for a simpleton!!

This TV has the best image I've seen on any screen (if you exclude the 4k video at Sony HQ).
Black is very black, colours are vivid without being unnatural and the image is crisp and sharp .
Even switched off it looks great with its thin body and blackcurrant flavoured surround.
I haven't watch any sport from an HD source yet so I can't comment on any football fuzziness but for films and computer games in our den its great. I even thought about swapping it with our larger but older main telly downstairs.
-
A couple of niggles...
It only has an optical out for sound, so I've had to plug my various sources into the stereo separately.
The HDMI connectors come out sideways, so with a normal cable you can see it looping out...I've got a right angle one on order that will cure that.

The picture quality is outstanding, especially when watching a Blu-Ray. Wall•E is a particularly good example for the colour reproduction. The screen is wonderfully small and thin, and can be squeezed in smaller areas than similar sized TVs (we also have a Tosh Regza TV). The TV Guide is very good, and allows the channels to be re-organised according to viewing habits.
-
Switch off ALL picture processing. The 100Hz, noise reduction, movie mode, etc. result in a worse picture. Much better watching in the 50Hz the signal is broadcast in. You will also want to turn down picture sharpness a lot (default is 40 or 50, mine's set at 8).
Speakers are too small (they have to be for the case). The only sound output is optical, no headphone output.

Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.

‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have
• Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format)
• Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats
• An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface)
Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second.
Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
