Samsung RSH1NH Reviews: Frost Free, American, Multi fridge freezer

+ Nice looking side by side fridge/freezer, large fridge more than enough room for my weekly shop, freezer nice size too. Good interior lighting, would recomend to a friend without hesitation.

+ Plenty of space, well lit inside, freezer drawers are not as deep as I would like them to be. easy to use controls with a child lock for temp controls.

+ Dead simple to use and all the door pockets make sense as does the control panel after a little bit of thinking. The whole thing pretty much looks after itself. Proper plug and play.

- It doesn't feel that cold when you open the doors (a trial in itself as they shut very firmly, I wouldn't recommend this fridge to anyone with arthritis) which is probably me being irrational but personally I would have liked my bones to ache when I open it. Still as long as the thermostat is correct it hasn't wavered a degree since it was installed.

+ without the ice maker/water dispenser the freezer has a greater useable capacity

+ there is loads of room in the fridge it's about 3 times the size of my previous one. It seems to keep food fresher for longer and because there are vents at various places the cold air is consistent around the whole of the fridge. I'm glad I went for a fridge freezer without the ice maker/drinks machine as it takes up a lot of space in the freezer and although the freezer is a good size i would have like a bit more space in the freezer

+ Large fridge - lots of storage. Freezer is smaller, but if you use the space wisely, you can store alot.
No cold water attachment allows another shelf in the freezer to be used for storage.
Large, clear digital display of temperature in both fridge and freezer. Maintains temperature well, even in hot weather.

- One shelf is used by the ice maker. However, you can remove this box to free up another shelf.
Be warned, the door does swing shut, all be it slowly, if it is opened too quickly. As a result of this the vegetable drawer cracked in the first week due to the fridge door closing on it while it was pulled out. Samsung will not replace it.

+ Strong sturdy and very attractive fridge/freezer.

+ Probably one of the best buys I have ever made.
The biggest plus is that I don't have to defrost it any more. It's also a boon to any one with a bad back as there is now little or no bending involved. Open the door and all the produce is there - and the fridge side is backlit, which is another plus. Oh joy!

- The freezer side could do with being bigger as the fridge side is more then adequate. The door sections on the fridge are very unstable and great care has to be taken if using large milk cartons as they can end up on the floor. Small points but worth taking a note of.

- To get best use of storage capability, you will need to purchase extra shelves for both fridge and freezer.

- freezer space too small, tricky top store larger items,, only really useful if you're a family who buy stuff in stackable boxes not if you use lots of roasting joints etc as tend to slip out.

+ The item looks good and is very easy to use. The storage compartments are well spaced and I have so far not purchased any foodstuffs which wont fit in somewhere!

- The fridge was bigger than advertised as the handles had not been taken into consideration and had to be removed to get the fridge into the house

Temperature controls

- Difficult to store produce in the freezer sections as they are shelves rather than baskets.

- the inside shelves on the doors falll out constantly, there is not much grip to keep the shelves in the groves, the slightest touch of an item being removed from the shelves removes the shelf from the door. Quite annoying at times.

+ Great product, excellent space, good ventilation inside as numerous vents. Good lighting, quiet.

- The only slight problem with the product is that the doors are a bit hard to open

The fridge has a pinging alarm if the doors are left open for sometime. Great if you have kids who may leave the door open.

+ I cannot find any faults at all with the product, I chose it because it did not have a fancy drinks or ice dispenser taking up valuable space and which I probably would not have used, overall I find nothing to complain about, it is stylish and rather understated in appearance, so is suitable for use in my dining area of the L shaped lounge without looking as if the kitchen has invaded the dining area. It is quiet in operation and I am very pleased with it.

+ Everything. Its east to use, easy to clean, great quality for the price and looks great. The best thing is the fact that although my 3 year old can reach the handles she is unable to open it- and that is without using the child lock feature. Would recommend to all.

+ Accurate outside thermometer with child lock and vacation buttons. Excellent ice box which really works. Noise level good. Magnetic doors (for fridge magnets, etc) - some weren't. Door "open too long" alarm is great if you have kids. Flat back.

- salad drawers at the bottom can be awkward to get in and out for cleaning, a bit noisy with the odd clunking and whirring sound from the compresssors. But nit picking really

- the door magnets are far too powerful, requiring quite a hard pull in order to open the door- fine for me, but doubt people with any kind of joint, muscle or bone complaint would find it easy to get into their fridge/freezer.

+ a great fridge - very pleased with it. bear in mind that the official height of it is 1789mm including the door hinges and a raised square panel on the top and in the middle - it is often listed as 1775mm. i only just managed to squeeze it in. i prefer to cook daily than stockpile frozen food so, for me, the fridge/freezer dimensions are perfect. ice maker works well, i know there has been some criticism of it. the fridge is not too noisy either and it's situated in an open plan living space. it's such a luxury to always have space in the fridge/freezer.

+ Excellent storage facilities for both fridge and feezer. As a large family we are more organised and less food is wasted and we can grab the buy one get two free type bargains as we are sure of the space. Easy to clean exterior and interior, ice maker fun to use! A rated so we are hoping it is going to be energy efficient. It is not as noisy as some of the reviewers have quoted. The alarm is essential in our household as we have left the door open accidently on other fridge freezers. The temperature control and vacation are very useful too.
