- Nice menu (red animated), fairly responsive compared to older models
- Sleek bezel / frame
- Excellent colour / quality (even at Freeview resolution), ofc at 1080p FullHD it's exellent!
- No dead pixel (I could just be lucky)
-
- Speaker quality is poor, it's OK for regular watching but for film the speaker sounds like something is rattling inside it!
- The bit that joins the stand to the TV is had a crack in it but thats just my luck :(

Shame that Dixons do not provide an installation service for the 32". I live on my own and two people are needed to connect the top to the base.
Doesn't work too well with my BT Vision Box.

amazing picture quality even just using freeview. DVD pictures even better and have not had the chance of viewing blu-ray yet but suspect they will be every bit as good. Used as a second TV so not that worried about sound but everything is very clear and effects come across well enough. Very easy to set up.
-
No on/off switch, but understand power used when in standby is minimal.

Great looking TV. Easy to set up and very easy to use. Picture quality is very good with normal TV and looks great with Sky HD. I'd definitely recommend this as a well specced TV for the money.
-
The sound options aren't the best. The auto sound adjuster doesn't seem to work at all (I turned it off in the end!) and the location of the speakers (at the back of the TV) means that whilst it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye the noise is pushed backwards away from where you are sitting. I will be purchasing some extra surround sound speakers - which is not a problem as the TV has this capability but is something you need to consider when buying.

Gorgeous design and very nice remote control too! It differs from the norm as it hasn't got the usual matt black surround, but instead a glossy perspex finish with a red tint towards the base. Very clear picture. Excellent menu and set up. Easy to put together the TV screen and the stand, plug it in and you're away....
-
Being really pedantic, the sound could be improved but only when playing through my DVD player. It may be nothing to do with the TV but possibly the link between the two pieces of equipment. However, the volume does have to be cranked right up when watching DVD's.

Image quality is very good. Clear sharp picture with a good range of adjustments to enable settings for all situations.
The variety of picture size settings, manageable from the one button, is also very useful as it means you can get a well proportioned picture at all times. Very good value for money.
-
The remote control is enormous, but of course there is always the plus point that it's not easy to misplace! The USB port is selective in it's communication with other sources; it doesn't talk with my digital camera through the USB, but that's a minor problem as it's fine connected through the AV in sockets.

Amazing TV. Looks fantastic, great dark red trim top and bottom that sets it off really nicely. Very sturdy and well built including the base which it fits to very securely.
Great picture quality, especially when playing the Xbox 360.
Various connections/ports in the back, HDMI, Scart, RGB, Component, VGA (Can hook your PC up), Optical Audio, Audio in and out.
-
Only thing negative to say is that its massive dust magnet, but you do get a cleaning cloth with it, that and a little water and it cleans the TV and stand really well.

very good picture for money. lots of picture tweaks. the tv is ace overall, but there are some ease-of-use issues noted in the bad points....
-
poor sound quality - hook it up to external sound system. as with all samsungs, the source input is annoying (you have to cycle through them, say, to get to hdmi 2 - it doesnt remember that you never want av1 to 3! for example, Panasonic have a much better system whereby you use the coloured buttons to pick input source). freeview tv doesnt say any info about the program as you cycle conventionally through channels, plus cant go pages up at a time in the tv guide menu.

The picture quality is bad the images are fuzzy and trail over the TV. When we have Virgin Media on you can hear the terestrial TV in the background so we have to unplug the terestrial scart and just have virgin media on, so its a faff to turn it all on without the normal TV. NOt sure why the image is so fuzzy

Screen Size in Inches

32

Screen size is measured diagonally from corner to corner.
|
Type of Screen

|
LCD
|
|
Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.
|
HD TV

|
Full HD 1080p
|
‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have
• Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format)
• Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats
• An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface)
Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second.
Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
|
Freeview or Freesat Tuner

|
Freeview
|
Freeview is free digital terrestrial TV. FreeSat is a free digital satellite TV service, which gives you HD programming from people like the BBC without having to pay for a subscription to a service like Sky. You need a dish to receive Freesat but not Freeview.
For more information see the Freeview site or the Freesat site.
|
HDMI Interface

|
4
|
|
Like a scart interface but capable of carrying HD signals from or to other devices. You’ll need these to link your Playstation 3 or your Blu-ray player to your HD-ready TV.

|
Scart sockets are places where you can connect other devices to your TV. If you already have a DVD player, a VCR and a Playstation you might want to make sure your new TV has enough Scart interfaces so you don’t have to keep crawling round the back of the TV.
