Overal the value for money on this TV is very good - if you compare with similar 1080P products about. Even on Freeview video (upscaled by the TV) the image quality is crisp with good contrast balance.
Reception on Freeview is excellent - signal quality seemed slightly better versus my Panasonic Freeview PVR.
Images from Blu Ray sources via HDMI are superb.
If you are looking for a reasonably well priced TV with 1080P capability and lots of connection options - this is a good buy.
-
One generic problem with many new slimline Flat Screen sets is audio quality. If you are after real top notch audio you will need an external audio system. Bass response is pretty limited on this product due the restriction in space for audio units, however for general day to day use it is fine.
The only other comment is related to the cabinet finish which I think is normally described as 'Piano Black ' finish by some manufacturers. Easily scratched if you are not careful - and don't recommend touching the TV cabinet after you have just eaten a packet of crisps :-)

Quite light for the size which makes hanging a breeze. 3 HDMI ports (must get Sky HD now!). Using regualr Sky the picture is good, better colour than my old Sony Triniton, can't wait to get fully HD'd.
-
Just a small niggle of the placement of the inputs. It can be tricky to plug things in when it's wall mounted as you can't see what you're doing, it's all done by feel. Only 1 scart socket which is annoying, everything has a scart unles you go HD and blueray, doesn't help with Xboxs' and Wii though.

As with every Samsung's I've owned stylish, reliable, easy to work and better value for money than other manufacturers. Displays standard definition better than my Sony, and really comes to life when playing PS3 games and watching Blu Rays, which is why I bought it. I also like the way it auto changes to the optimal settings 1080p, 1080i, or 720p when using my PS3, Blu Rays or DVDs via HDMI. Well worth the money
-
Lacks the 100Hz or 200Hz of newer sets, but the difference between this and the Sony Bravia 100Hz I have in my lounge is completely unnoticable to my eyes

Not too sure about the sound volume. Needs to be at the top of the scale for certain programmes, but that may be due to the programmes themselves.

Great clear picture - better freeview picture on the TV itself than through our Freeview box! (could be due to an old scart lead). You can see the screen from almost anywhere in the room i.e. almost sitting side on 180 degrees to the screen. It has automatic channel tuning so very easy to set up. The stand can be turned to view from the best angle but you have to loosen a screw on the bottom of the stand for this to work (instructions do not state this). Fantastic viewing of films using HDMI cable from DVD player and that is from a normal DVD player not an upscaler one.
-
Cannot switch off TV - only goes onto standby so you have to switch it off at the plug to switch off completely. The tune when switching the TV on and off is quite loud and a bit annoying.

TV Buyers Guide
Manufacturer's Description
The Samsung LE32b530 brings 1080p to HDTV televisions, at a bargain price.
Featuring full 1080p HD Ready technology, the LE32b530 is more than ready for the new generation of High Definition sources such as Blu-ray. The full 1920 × 1080 resolution lets you see more detail than ever before and creates a vivid sense of realism. Also standard is Samsung’s Wide Colour Enhancer 2 engine. This unique Samsung system offers far more natural and convincing colours by strengthening the red, green and blues. A “high contrast ratio” also gives the LE32b530 excellent depth of image with subtle shading.
Although we’d always recommend a separate home cinema system, the Samsung’s built-in SRS Tru-Surround HD system gives a useful boost to audio performance. With indirect firing technology the, hidden, speakers create a spacious sound that’s complemented by the SRS Tru-Surround HD system.
Twin rear-mounted HDMI (and one side-mounted) sockets allow for the connection of 3 High Definition sources, such as an HD-TV box, HD camcorder and Blu-ray. In addition to this, the LE32b530 boasts SCART and component connections for your older sources. Furthermore, the PC input makes this attractive TV the perfect complement to your home computer – especially when used in conjunction with the Samsung’s special Game Mode. Topping off the wide range of sockets are both analogue phono and digital optical sound outputs – ideal for connecting this Samsung 32 inch 1080p LCD TV to your hi-fi or home cinema for a useful upgrade in sound quality.
Completing this stunning 1080p Samsung is a stylish case finished in the same Crystal Rose high gloss look as their other, more expensive models. For added convenience the stand also swivels for the best viewing angle.
As 32 inch 1080p HD Ready LCD TVs go, the Samsung LE32b530 is now the best bargain of the lot. Be quick!
