+ The AMOLED screen is huge and stunning quality. The camera takes great pictures. Video capture quality is the best I've seen in a phone but the sound quality isn't very good. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use.
- not much software at the moment from samsung. i've had to go and find my own. The orange firmware crippled the phone so much i unbranded my phone to the latest samsung firmware, which gets rid of all the orange junk and makes the phone faster as well.

Quality of pictures from camera are good and some nice features - like panoramic - very grainy in low light but obviously better with flash but still slow. video is excellent quality in good light.
Touch screen works well - not as smooth as iPhone - screen feels "stickier".
Screen is bright and produces excellent images.
Normally head phone jack but needs samsung ones to work radio.
Sound is good on phones and speakers.
Although it looks big it's relatively thin and light. Good sized touch phone for "man hands".

As it's early days extra "compatible" applications seem to be few and far between - very little on Orange Shop and Samsung (surprisingly). Currently only Garmin Mobile XT satnav will work on phone with a downloaded modification from Garmin site.
Navigation is run of the mill - not sure if this is Samsung firmware or Orange's though?
Previously owned O2 XDA running windows mobile 6 and could cut and paste all over the place but it seems very limited with Symbian60 v 5 - possibly because applications not designed to communicate as effectively with each other.
Orange maps doesn't work - known problem especially for those who have ported their old number - see forums.
Quick link menu is nice idea but very limited customisation.
Installed media album is a pain. After recording video it takes you through all the images etc on your phone?
Takes a little getting used to when - to input text or number - it takes you from the screen you're working on to an input screen - in WM6 you could input on the screen you were looking at so had the details at hand that you may need.
navigating web pages takes a little getting used to - difficult to click on link without zooming in instead.
Phone pad does not include text so if you're asked for a password letter - ironically this includes Orange's call centre - you have to mentally go through the alphabet to work out which key to press. Strange because in text mode you can switch between an alpha-numeric pad and just a number pad.
I became used to the predictive text in WM6 giving you sentence choices and find just inputting words a little tedious.

Camera and video quality are superb.
3.7" screen with HD is a joy to look at.
once you've had a play for a while the interface is easy to use.
the styling is great(for my tastes anyway)
the built in sensor is genius (when you put the phone to your ear it locks the screen and unlocks when you remove) dosn't sound like much but its brill.
-
picks up fingerprints the CSI crew would be proud of.
nothing else I can think of.

+ Stylish, lots of features, amazing camera, unbelievable battery life!
- When receiving text messages the person name does not appear just there number, just to note this is when they are a contact and saved to the handset and it doesnt work if saved to the sim either
purchased 22 May 2009
+ Really good phone would highly recomend this handset, the first thing you will notice is the HUGE AMOLED screen, produces brilliant vibrant colours. the capactive feedback is a joy to use too.
- bad pioints have to be the poor sound quality when recording which isa shame.

+ Amazing phone, best phone i have purchased in a while!
- Audio quality when recording and battery life is abit poor but found away for it to last longer when charging turn phone off and leave overnight well thats what i did and it worked for about 4days with moderate use!

+ Thumb friendly so typing txt messages is a pleasure whether it be with the full screen qwerty or alphanumerical. The screen is the best in the market - beautiful sharp images with amazing colour
- camera in the dark is almost useless despite the flash. the software is not so stable -often just shuts down (hopefully will be fixed with firmware updates). battery is unreliable, sometimes its phenomenal, other days it seems to drain really quickly and die despite similar use
purchased 18 May 2009
+ Excellent phone, good music playback, video recording ,camera, and video playback is awesome. Battery life is excellent solong as GPS, bluetooth and 3G is disabled will last arount 4 days with 5 hours of phone calls and 6 hours of music.
- With you have the stock setting, ei 3G and GPS on you will find your self charging any where from every day to 2 days. Video playback is excellent but not ideal due to the massive drain on plating HD 720p videos.

+ looks good,made well.
- programs are left running when not closed proper, they should close them self
purchased 16 May 2009
+ screen size
- touch screen sometimes the letters u touch are not the ones that come up on screen
purchased 20 May 2009
+ Amazing camera. 8MP includes slow motion filming. You don't need a seperate digital camera when you have this, as it can do everything. massive memory (8Gig internal and 8Gig memorycard too!!) which i can't see being filled any time soon.
- Software is lacking stability. Programs crash occasionally, and i've had to search the internet to find out how to fix a few problems, like contact names not showing in text message lists and the profile 'button' on the main screen has disappeared. These are not major issues but they do take the shine off the phone.

Probably the highest spec + feature phone available currently.
HD Recording.
V.Nice screen.
- Not overly keen on the Symbian OS, especially the orange additions.
purchased 01 Jun 2009
+ Overall the phone is really good, graphics are amazing but it does freeze a lot and you then have to remove the battery and then replace it before turning the phone back on. This happens about twice a day. The battery doesn't last very long and runs out really quickly.
- Battery and freezes a lot

Great camera. HD Video. Bundled with Asphalt 4 (great racing game!), Touch screen is nice and responsive, Compatible with many different media file types.
Large screen size makes browsing files, playing games, watching films/ videos, and surfing the net a joy.
Wifi enabled, so along with internet on the move, you can browse for free at wifi hotspots.
Stunning design which is also well built and robust.
-
Password protection for files is awkward to find and lacking in substance.
Lack of decent options for setting pictures as wallpaper, resulting in pictures being cropped when unwanted.

+ A pretty decent phone which thinks its a computer. Amazing screen quality for running your applications. GPS is useful, if you want mapping software and works well, even indoors.
- Internet browsing is awkward. Every time you go back it has to reload the page. The auto-rotate is slow and switches the screen off for a couple of seconds each time.
