+ Picture quality

- Very poor instructions. Amazed to discover that the user has to type in the name of a recorded programme. This is a ponderous task. Our previous recorder displayed the name automatically. Also, the machine has to be switched off before it will work with timed record and it takes a long time to switch back on so bits of the current programme are missed.
