- So difficult to use and cuts off before end of programme

- Extremely complex set up / operating instructions, not exactly in the plug and play mould. Remote control too complex and fiddly.

+ A very easy to use product with more than enough memory to store films on the HDD. The connection to Samsung TVs make use even better

- The only bad point I can comment on is the noise level of the disk player. i imagine this would be quite irratating to people with sensetive ears.

it has to be turned off for timer record to work but it swiches its self off anyway

+ Clean and simple looking design - aesthetically pleasing. Reasonably simple controls The manual is concise and understandable. It does what it says on the box

- The controller is too small with legends that are only just readable - All paper documentation should be in 14 pitch ariel at least with no odd colour combinations. A CD / DVD version of the documentation viewed through the TV would be useful.

- its noisy also buffer does,nt work woth cable tv ,plus to use timer you need to switch off dvd

+ Freeview receiver pretty strong.

- Very poor control system, i.e. tiny buttons for the functions you use the most such as the guide.
Pausing live TV takes about 5 button presses and is not automatically done.
You need to have the machine turned off for it to record anything.
So basically the PVR functionalilty is a real pain to use.

+ Extensive versitility, portable between locations, brochure was reasonably explanitory

- This equipment has many functions and is therefore complicated to use, it should have been simplified
Hard drive recording proves to have faults in playback ie every few minutes a pause and then it catches up again.
