Dan, Newmarket , “I appreciate good engineering”

+ Functionality is great - and having two good size smaller ovens is excellent given the space it takes up.
Build quality is better than everything else we looked at (and that includes the likes of Miele!).

- Two ovens, so why not two timers? And also the lower oven should have the "optional" second light fitted as standard. Other than that - there are none.

+ SIngle or dual oven. Lot's of choice of fan or conventional operation. Small oven very quickly up to temperature as fan oven - shows promise of being very energy efficient.

- Nothing so far.

+ The split oven aspect works well, the features / functions are easy to use. It was all that we wanted.

- It would have been nice if the dial controls had the ability to be pushed flush when the oven is not being used, i.e. like the Siemens & AEG ovens.

+ Able to use half of the oven at a time to cook smaller items. Self cleaning button. The oven turns itself off with the timer button.

- With the dividing shelf in there is no middle of the oven. It's eiter top, quite a small space, or bottom, not hot enough.

+ The way this oven can pretend to be a double oven is fantastic. It's perfect if you only have space for a single oven.

+ Large single oven (65L) that can be divided into two. Good LCD display and sounds! Good inner tray systems.

- Not the most up-to-date of designs. A Little heavy.

+ It's great to be able to separate the main oven into two, so that I am able to cook different items at different temperatures. The steam cleaning facility is great, the internal size is large and allows me to get more items in when cooking, overall it is easy to use and a nice looking oven.

+ Very elegant looking oven which has become a focal point of our new kitchen everyone has complimented on its good looks! Great build quality, better than some other more expensive units we looked at. Only ever used full oven on one occasion so very economic!

- Not really a bad point i guess but does take a while to get to grips with all the different settings more than the most enthusiastic cook will ever require me thinks! When using the top divider have found quite alot of condensation build up in the bottom unused partition but not problematic i shouldnt think!

+ Good looks, simple controls.

- Dangerous fixings - only 2 screws and plastic bushes which are badly designed and allow the cooker to come lose in the housing - very dangerous! Also when you open the door there is a blast of steam directed at your face far worse than with other ovens - also dangerous!

+ Very clever idea.
I like being able to use a smaller oven and / or have two at different temperatures.

- Im not finding the lower oven hot enough - even using the 'bottom heat' - but havnt had it all that long... may take some getting used to.
and you can only have the two ovens a limited range of temperature different from each other.

+ Divider can be used to cook smaller amounts. Heats up very quickly. Very pleased overall.

- Timer not as expected - you can't set the oven to come on at a later time, you can only set it to cook for a certain length of time, if that makes sense.

Manufacturer's Description

Trying to cook several dishes with different cooking times and temperatures using only a conventional single oven is virtually impossible. But SAMSUNG’s Dual Cook oven gives you a double oven facility in the same size as a single oven, letting you cook different dishes at different temperatures, for different times. And because there’s absolutely no transfer of smell, even the most delicate of flavours can simmer away together.
