Samsung UE40B8000 Reviews: 40" Screen LED Full HD 1080p TV

+ The design, the slimline body for a smallish room, the excellent picture. I could go on an on. Delighted with the item. Even my computer guy was blown away and trust me, it takes a lot for him to say that.

- No bad points re the set. For the non technically minded the remote and accessing things like analogue teletext is pretty complicated. The instruction manual is not clear on many points. If Samsung were to correct this usuing step by step illustrations then this point would cease to be an issue. Even the TV engineer struggled to sort it!!!!

- The only fault I can possibly find with it is in the use of the internet facility where a virtual keyboard (on screen) has to be used to enter search strings by using the remote control to select each character from a virtual keypad-- this is very slow and awkward and a small wireless keyboard would be a real benefit.

+ Image is fantastic, interface is clean and not complicated. Plenty of HDMI ports and other analogue ports to hook up old, non digital, devices (PS2 and Wii). Ridiculously thin.

- Internal speakers are OK, but nothing special. This however is not a problem as you wouldn't buy this telly if you didn't have a 5.1/7.1 audio system to plug it into. The remote "light up" on motion detection is way to sensitive so I think the batteries are not going to last long.
