Battery life is very good. Size of screen is excellent. loads of features to test out. Very slim..fits in a suit pocket. Takes good pictures all-round. Can charge off the USB.
-
The touch screen can accidentally be touched when about to take a photo and this can mean missing a shot or needing to fix the problem before taking a picture.

Small, Compact and convenient Camera. It may look like a toy camera due to its small size however it is anything but a toy.
-
Only one unusual thing to get used to- the pop up flash i.e.it is normally where one holds a camera so you have to rethink where to place your fingers.

This camera is in my opinion a good buy. The results are definitely much better than I expected. The pictures are crystal clear and the screen appears huge compared to my old digital camera.

Touch screen seems a little too sensitive but this is really nothing to worry about.

Easy to use - fast start up and plenty of options for those who want more than just a point and shoot. great picture quality.
-
Need to be careful about 'flash' popping up on top of camera - just where finger can be.

The battery needs recharging regularly so you have to keep an eye on it, or you can find the battery is dead just when you need it!!

The quality of the pictures is amazing! I love the touch screen technology, although saying that it does not come with a cleaning cloth and you will definitley need one of those to clean off finger prints! Great features like the beauty shot and the recycle bin (allows you to recall photos you may have deleted by accident! And the 28mm wide angle lense makes all the difference! I have had lots of compliments already on both the camera and quality of shots and really think this camera is good value for money!
-
It does not come with any form of memory card! I had to purchase one. You can store pictures straight onto the camera, but this only about 10 or so! The manual is so basic it actually does not explain all of the functions! And you will need to purchase a case and cleaning cloth.

Expert reviews for Samsung NV100HD
PC Advisor expert review - by Paul Jasper
A beautiful, touch-sensitive screen is the icing on the cake for the feature-packed Samsung NV100HD point-and-shoot camera.

Camera Type

Compact
There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact.
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs.
Compact cameras have a built in lens and an ‘above lens’ viewfinder which is less accurate but they are often cheaper, more sleekly designed and easier to carry anywhere with you to capture that moment perfectly without having to fiddle with complex settings or a bag full of lenses.

resolution (Megapixel)

14.7

Optical Zoom Ratio

4

Screen Size in Inches

Screen size is measured diagonally from corner to corner.
Digital Zoom Ratio

5
Not to be confused with optical zoom, digital zoom enlarges a portion of the image thus simulating optical zoom. In doing so, some image quality is lost.
Face Recognition

Yes
A function for automatically detecting peoples faces and correctly adjusting the focus and exposure to take the best photo
Image Stabilisation

Yes
If a photo is taken at a slow shutter speed, or at a long focal length, the effects of ‘hand shake’ will be amplified. Some cameras come with built-in image stabilisation which is designed to act against this to produce sharper images.
It’s great for low light shots without a tripod, like at a gig.

Having a timer function is essential if you want to get into the shot yourself. Make sure your camera has this feature if you plan to go on holiday and capture photos of you and your friends or family having fun together.

An under water feature means your camera is safe to dive with, usually between 3 and 5 metres. Most dSLR cameras will require expensive separate housing so consider investing in a waterproof digital compact first.
