Score 9.0/10

dj.si, London

+ Given that the earpiece cable is the aerial, it manages to hold on pretty well to the FM signal, and typically well enough to listen in stereo, rather than switching to mono to cut out hiss. My 5/10 for the battery is actually a don't know, since I haven't used it long enough to see how long it really lasts. For such a tiny, light-weight unit, it packs all the features I'd expect of an FM radio, with good sound. Roberts quality at a good price.

- The earphone socket is close to the first preset button, so that first button can be awkward to get at. There's no backlight on the display, which may bother some users. There's no pouch or case supplied with this unit, which is a little annoying, since it could easily get scratched. Better earpieces give better sound that those supplied. (I found that Bose's in-ear earpieces were a significant improvement.)

David, Manchester , “Near pension age!”

+ Very low battery consumption.
Small size and clear display.
Good reception under most situations.

- It lacks a cover to protect the radio.
Button too close to the audio jack-not a disaster but annoying.

+ Just a very good radio. I use it on the train mostly and get excellent results.

- Can't find any although a case would have been good.
